About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst in Commercial Banking as part of the Sales and Use Tax COE (Center of Excellence) group. Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com .
In this role, you will:
- Perform multistate tax research on leasing issues
- Monitor accuracy of transaction tax coding of equipment leasing portfolio
- Develop relationships with business units to support their business needs and objectives
- Provide guidance to less experienced staff regarding established transaction tax policies
- Collect and communicate information in response to inquiries from state and local transaction tax auditors
- Strategize process improvement and transaction tax decisioning recommendations
- Provide consultation and advice on complex transaction tax issues
- Evaluate issues and apply sound business judgment

- 4+ years of Sales and Use Tax experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of multistate transaction tax experience
- 4+ years of tax administration experience
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Juris Doctor (JD) degree
- Familiarity with Vertex sales tax solutions
- Transaction tax experience in the leasing industry preferred
- Advanced Excel or Alteryx skills to perform technical analysis of large volumes of data
- Equipment finance or commercial leasing experience
- Strong analytical skills with high attentional to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong collaboration and partnering skills
- Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$84,000.00 - $149,400.00
