About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Risk Analytics Consultant

In this role, you will:

  • Senior Risk Analytics Consultant in Business Intelligence and Data Operations team will be responsible for execution of data controls, data operations, data defect management and data governance for corporate risk reporting & analytics.
  • Understand and contribute to data operations strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure an effective data operations governance in the department.
  • Collaborate with Data Control, Data Governance, Technology, and other team(s) within CRRA to perform prod data defect and data change impact assessments, data element mappings, data lineage, and overall documentation as required by Governance and Oversight (G&O) and Enterprise data governance policies.
  • Identify data anomalies, discrepancies & inconsistencies and collaborate with data stewards, data owners and other stakeholders to resolve related issues.
  • Conduct data profiling and in-depth analysis to assess the overall quality of data and identify trends, patterns, and potential data issues & also to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Should have strong business analysis skill where a collaboration with different teams is required to understand the business problems, evaluate processes & related data, and identify, assess & mitigate the risks associated with it.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve business goals.
  • Partner with managers to coordinate data/ insights for team reporting.
Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • 4+years of experience in Advanced excel, SQL, Alteryx
  • Experience in Dealing with production data incidents or defects, data load.
  • 4+years of experience with BI tool such as Tableau or Power BI or SAS
  • Experience in data quality, data governance
  • 4+years of experience in non-financial risk.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
  • 4+ years of experience of defect management, data change impact assessment, data lineage and business analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of metadata concepts, data management principles and industry standards
  • Experience researching and resolving data problems and working with technology teams on remediation of data issues.
  • Experience, understanding, and knowledge of Enterprise Risk.
  • Regulatory or Risk reporting experience (Basel, BCBS 239, Federal Reserve, G&O high risk reports)
  • Experience working in agile model and familiar with JIRA
