About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Marketing Consultant that helps support critical digital acquisition marketing campaigns for the Small & Business Banking (SBB) Marketing Team. The role will be responsible for driving brand awareness, brand consideration, and new customer acquisition. The main priority of the role is the development and implementation of the marketing plan by promoting Wells Fargo deposit accounts to small business owners via upper funnel and paid search advertising. The role will collaborate closely with the external media planning agencies, internal marketing channel managers, and the marketing science team.

The role will support the acquisition marketing campaigns for SBB including end to end campaign management, but also involved in defining target audience, value proposition, creative development, and special offers. The role will partner closely with the brand management team and external agencies to develop new creative assets that promote Wells Fargo Business Banking deposit accounts. In addition, this role will manage the end-to-end marketing campaign management process which includes working across a variety of internal teams, managing timelines, and following the detailed campaign process.

This role is critical in helping SBB deliver on new customer growth and deposit growth target via effective development and implementation of upper funnel and paid search customer acquisition strategies across all key customer segments as well as identifying new business opportunities to drive increased scale and profitability while delivering customer-obsessed experiences.

This person must be influential in leading campaign resources, both internal and external, while also being able to partner effectively with other marketing leaders across CSBB, Business Credit Card, and the other lines-of-business.


In this role, you will:
  • Manage marketing campaigns, primarily with upper funnel media (digital display, linear television, connected television, social platforms) and paid search that promote Wells Fargo Business Banking deposit accounts that acquire new business banking customers in our branches and on Wellsfargo.com.
  • Partner closely with the paid media channel manager and media agency partners to execute media plans, and to optimize the multi-million dollar acquisition marketing budget with the objective of achieving the customer acquisition goal and ROI objectives.
  • Direct data analysts/modelers, channel managers, creative designers, and operations employees to achieve campaign goals
  • Track macro-economic trends, small business environment, competitor strategies, promotions, pricing, and recommend pivots in the bank's upper funnel and offer strategy
  • Collaborate with Marketing Science Team to forecast campaign results, author business cases, and publish campaign reporting packages that record the financial performance of the marketing investment
  • Provide ongoing performance updates to Head of Growth Marketing, Small & Business Banking, Marketing Executives, CSBB CMO, SBB leadership team, and other C-suite level executives
  • Ideate for breakthrough marketing concepts that will improve response rates and lower the campaign cost per account
  • Collaborate with various partners, stakeholders, and senior leaders to deliver new customers and deposit balance goals
  • Support broader Business Banking Growth team by helping with campaign management when needed
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Marketing, E-business, Digital Marketing, Digital Platforms (i.e. Mobile or Social Media) experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications:
  • 3+ years' experience in managing paid media, marketing strategy and/or campaign execution with a focus on customer acquisition.
  • Knowledge of business banking products, retail banking, and small business customer segment.
  • Proven success refining campaign strategy, including pivots in customer targeting, offer selection, creative execution, and messaging.
  • Strong experience in the paid media landscape and familiarity with 3rd party data providers like Dun & Bradstreet
  • Analytical understanding of marketing campaigns, A/B testing, incremental lift, Return on Marketing Investment (ROMI)
  • Campaign management and execution experience, ideally within in Aprimo or similar campaign management tool
  • Ability to direct creative teams to develop marketing campaign assets
  • Must be able to successfully navigate a matrixed environment
  • Highly collaborative and can effectively lead a cross-functional team including both internal and external (agency) partners
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in retail banking, preferably Small & Business Banking
Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$73,100.00 - $155,900.00
