About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Infrastructure engineer - Estate and Capacity management.
In this role, you will:
- Lead or participate in high level technical concepts spanning technology and business
- Develop specifications for complex infrastructure systems, design and test solutions
- Contribute to the testing of business, application and technical infrastructure requirements
- Drive solutions to reduce recovery
- Review and analyze solutions for cloud security, secrets management and key rotations
- Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices
- Design complex system upgrades
- Resolve troublesome trends as they develop
- Develop a long range plan designed to resolve problems and prevent them from recurring
- Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure success
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

- 4+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 2+ years of Experience with converged infrastructure solutions that involve Servers, Storage and Network.
- 2+ years of Experience with VM Ware tools like VROPS, VRA or other infrastructure reporting tools.
- Experience in managing the compute infrastructure environment for a large technology organization.
- 2+ years of Experience with Nutanix, Powerflex, Open shift and other virtualization technologies.
- 2+ years of Experience with Storage platforms like Dell Powermax, NetApp, Net Backup
- Experience with Confluence and Jira to help with workload management and communication.
- A good understanding of network concepts and how they are organized within a large datacenter.
- The senior infrastructure engineer in the capacity planning space will take the responsibility for all compute platforms to ensure that we manage and report properly the utilization, use and performance of all systems.
- Work with leadership to identify process improvements to the capacity planning space.
- Identify ways to improve utilization and be proactive in performance monitoring to ensure problems are avoid when possible.
- This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
- Review and manage the performance metrics of the physical and virtualization platforms to run and support the workloads.
- Ability to provide detailed system reporting to Leadership and to the technical group to showcase availability of the capacity against agreed targets.
- Expertise in understanding the infrastructure components and its capabilities from the OEM manufactures like Dell, HPE, Cisco, Arista, Intel, AMD, and IBM
- Ability to work with Engineering teams in evaluating new products and technologies and provide support and inputs related to capacity management.
- Evaluate capacity utilization and use tools to help right size environments to improve utilization. Look for performance concerns and proactively recommend solutions to avoid outages or performance challenges.
