    Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer with network, endpoint, and cyber security skills. This function directly supports the Cybersecurity Operations organization and the Cyber Threat Fusion Center's monitoring, triage, and response activities.

    This role's purpose is to create preventative control recommendations, research and detect potential threats and define uses cases.

    We need someone who is an expert at threat detection engineering that can create and enhance alerting capabilities for monitoring, triage, and response activities.

You'll apply your engineering discipline to identify, define, and implement Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) content to address evolving trends in cybersecurity. Always aware of potential emerging threats, you are well read on the latest exploits. You'll have the keen ability to consult with various internal clients in all areas of the business to ensure compliance with corporate information security standards.

With confidence, you'll design, document, test, maintain, and provide issue resolution recommendations for moderately complex security solutions. You are person who is curious by nature enjoys the challenge of identifying security vulnerabilities and issues, perform cyber risk assessments, and evaluate remediation alternatives.

In this role, you will:

Apply engineering discipline to identify, define, and implement Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) content to address evolving trends in cybersecurity.

Evaluate security logs from disparate sources to generate and tune alerting.

Consult with various internal clients in all areas of the business to ensure compliance with corporate information security standards.

Participate in computer security incident response activities for moderately complex events

Conduct technical investigation of security related incidents and post-incident digital forensics to identify causes and recommend future mitigation strategies

Provide security consulting on medium projects for internal clients to ensure conformity with corporate information, security policy, and standards

Review and correlate security logs

Utilize subject matter knowledge in industry leading security solutions and best practices to implement one or more components of information security such as availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification, modeling, monitoring, incident response, access management, and business continuity

Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Required Qualifications:

4+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

2 + years of experience with network security, endpoint security, and cybersecurity threat vectors

2+ years of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) experience

2+ years of Information Security Frameworks and standards (MITRE, FFIEC, NIST, ISO) experience

Desired Qualifications:

Knowledge and understanding of data security controls including malware protection, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, content filtering, Internet proxies, encryption controls, and log management solutions

Coding experience

Advanced Information Security technical skills and understanding of information security practices and policies

Experience analyzing large data sets

Ability to manage complex issues and develop technical solutions

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand environment while balancing multiple priorities

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$84,000.00 - $149,400.00
