Wells Fargo Lockbox Operations offers value added receivables solutions to many of the Bank's most valued corporate relationships and has the largest image-enabled Wholesale Lockbox network in the country. This team will review images of Checks, Invoices, Paystubs for keying and validating Payee Information, balancing report totals, MICR Information and updating the data as per specific guidelines and instructions.
About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an Operations Associate Manager. The role would require leading a team of Operations Processors to fulfill work type requirement & meet service level agreement as defined by the business.
In this role, you will:
- Manage and develop one or more specialized customer service and operations functional teams within Operations area with complex and risk in functional area
- Develop strategies to improve staffing processes, ensure specialized functions meet regulatory guidelines in support of risk management and compliance
- Engage stakeholders and internal partners associated within the Operations area
- Work independently on moderately complex issues and projects
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk control development and escalates issues to more experienced management
- Provide training, performance, evaluation and coaching of less experienced team
- Make decisions and resolve issues regarding resources, objectives and operations of functional area and team to meet business objectives
- Interpret and develop policies and procedures for operation functions with low to moderate complexity within scope of responsibility
- Provide responsibility for budget and financial performance
- Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
- Lead team to achieve objectives
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Operations
- Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent

- Two ( 2 ) years of Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- One ( 1 ) year of leadership experience
- University degree in Business, Commerce or any other discipline
- Experience of more than ( 5 ) years in Banking and Financial Services
- Experience with Deposit Products, experience in US transactional processes
- One ( 1 ) year as people manager
- Good knowledge of Deposit Products especially lockbox & experience of working with international Line of Businesses
- Strong analytical skills with eye to details
- Strong communication skills both written and spoken
- Flexible in working in any shift and on weekends (Week off during the weekday)
- Amenable to work onsite
- Supervises day to day operations for an operational unit and / or staff
- Under management guidance, supervises nonexempt staff to ensure effective delivery of services
- Provides training, performance evaluation and coaching
- Implements processes to maximize efficiency of operations
- Ensures the unit's work is completed on time and accurately by planning
- Coordinating and monitoring the daily activities of the routine to moderately complex work of less senior team members
- Reviewing, prioritizing, and distributing daily work to meet deadlines and goals
- Monitoring work in progress & making adjustments as needed
- Giving feedback and training to staff
- Addressing scheduling issues, including absences and tardiness
- Giving input to manager / supervisor on staff performance
- Representing unit at meetings & business reviews
