In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex, broad impact initiatives including provision of high level systems consultation for the technology teams
  • Work as key participant in large scale planning of computer systems and network infrastructure for Systems Operations functional area
  • Review and analyze complex technical challenges, as well as escalated support issues related to core business solutions that require in depth evaluation of multiple factors, such as alternatives, enhancements, periodic systems reviews, or improvements to existing systems
  • Make decisions on technical changes and enhancements
  • Consult with engineering team on change design requiring solid understanding of technical process controls or standards that influence and drive new initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with technical peers, colleagues, and mid to more experienced level managers to resolve systems support issues and achieve goals

  • 5+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualification:

• 5+ years of experience performing engineering and support tasks on Linux/Unix and Windows Servers

• 3 + years of experience supporting enterprise level complex applications and platforms in Production

• 5 + years of designing and building complex observability solutions leveraging industry standard toolset and or custom built solutions

• 5+ years working with configuration and monitoring technologies such as Ansible, Grafana, Elastic, Splunk, Prometheus.

• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

• Experience leading complex projects supporting site reliability engineering design, scaling, resilience, and system performance assessments for highly critical and regulated applications.

• An understanding of the regulatory, and professional standards for financial services technology.

• Excellent knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Shell, Perl) and SQL skills with relational database or Mongo DB • Experience with various CI/CD and monitoring tools such as ITRS Geneos, Splunk, JIRA, Jenkins, Ansible etc.

• Previous experiences in a high-paced, demanding trading floor environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effective collaboration with trading desk and business partners.

Job Expectations: • Ability to work in the office and at home in a hybrid model. • Flexible to work over weekends and evening time for changes and meetings.
