About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer...

In this role, you will:

  • Lead a team of highly talented full stack engineers and managers that work with teams in the Agile methodology to accelerate delivery of quality products into production
  • Work with product teams to deliver quality products through Behavior Driven Development (BDD), Test Driven Development (TDD), CI/CD, Continuous Testing, and Continuous Inspection
  • Lead the development of developer enablement tools to accelerate the development and to enable CICD, Unit, Integration, Functional, and Regression Testing
  • Lead the development of SDLC process automation and governance tools for 1000+ applications to provide automated insight into software quality through AI/ML and advanced correlation of test data, test results, test execution, test data, code coverage and integrate reporting
  • Lead the development of modern test data management platform for modern and legacy (Mainframe based) applications.
  • Lead the development of modern development and testing environments in hybrid cloud.
  • Identify, visualize, and publicize quantitative and qualitative metrics, set goals, and work with stakeholders and to achieve goals and improve overall software quality all consumer technology applications.
  • Accelerate training and education of product teams by curating, participating, and leading engineering academies, training sessions, product demos, developing product documentation, communications, and leading community forums focused on improving quality in partnership with LOBs.
  • Be a leader amongst peers and partners, innovate, and work with Chief Technology Office to expand existing capabilities to reflect the future needs of Consumer Lending

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years of Java/Spring experience
  • 5+ years of experience with end-to-end design and delivery of microservices/web services (API) application
  • 5+ years experience with modern software engineering technologies
  • 4+ years of experience with Agile practices along with 3+ years experience with systems architecture design.
  • 2+ years of experience with MongoDB
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with development and Test Frameworks, Capabilities & Tools
  • Experience with one or more CI/CD capabilities Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, Groovy, Artifactory, GIT, Sonarqube, Harness IO, Spinnaker, Kubernetes, Terraform
  • Experience with one or more additional Platforms: Kubernetes, Grafana, Elastic/ELK, AppDynamics, New Relic, Kafka, Kibana, AWS, PCF, Prometheus, DataDog, Splunk, Apigee, Big Panda, Tensor Flow
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in leading/managing applications in a high-volume production environment
  • Web Services/Microservices delivery experience on internal or external cloud platforms
  • Experience supporting, leading and directing offshore teams
  • Experience with one or more Agile tools used for tracking user stories or backlogs, such as Confluence or Jira
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of secure SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) methodologies - static/dynamic testing
  • Experience with Kafka and PubSub patterns tools
  • Knowledge and understanding of cloud readiness/cloud design principles for Java/Spring applications
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse, geographically distributed team (including onshore and offshore)
  • Experience or familiarity with Apigee or API Management tools.
