About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Institutional Investment Operations Specialist with experience in Foreign Exchange (FX) Operations to join the Corporate and Investment Banking group within Wholesale Operations.

In this role, you will:

  • Monitor, input, and process cash related transactions, customer service, project support, funding operations, settlement services, trade reconciliation, researching inquiries, reviewing time sensitive and/or complex documents as well as work to resolve payment or trade related issues
  • Review SWIFT messages ensuring all required information such as settlement instructions are provided by remitter.
  • Assist leadership in bringing individual or teams together to resolve complex issues
  • Provide subject matter expertise on projects along with internal and industry related initiatives
  • Review and analyze functional operational tasks that require research, evaluation, and exercise independent judgment to guide the deliverable
  • Will provide mentoring, training and/or work direction to junior level staff.
  • Back-up for other desks.
  • Present recommendations for resolving complex situations and exercise independent judgement while developing expertise on functions, projects, internal and industry related initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and teams, or serve as a peer mentor
  • Work under minimal supervision

  • 5+ years of Institutional Investment Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Strong background within the Foreign Exchange Operations space: reconciliation, investigations, spots, forwards, swaps, confirmation platforms related to payments/SWIFT
  • Data Analytics experience (for example: capacity reporting)
  • Ability to consistently apply an analytical mindset while resolving complex customer services issues as the point of escalation
  • Involvement with process review, enhancement, and collaboration, with a focus on process efficiency
  • Demonstrated partnership with groups such as Audit, Compliance, and others related to regulatory matters
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Previous client facing experience, operations, financial services, business processing
  • Capability to work independently, proactively, innovatively, and creatively while exercising sound judgment
  • Demonstrate ability to consistently meet/exceed stated goals and objectives
  • Ability to work under pressure
