About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Control Management Senior Manager. Fraud Claims Management is a complex business group supporting fraud for the entire organization (enterprise). The business included: Payment Card, ACH & Check, Deposit, Digital and Account security where FCM provides Strategies, Prevention, Detection and Recovery for both internal and external fraud events. This role has direct impact in driving the health of the risk & control environment for FCM Operations. The issue management policy requires controls to be linked to corrective actions and the controls to be downgraded in the SHRP system, which directly impacts the residual risk ratings reported. Strategic planning, designing, and implementing effective corrective action/controls, as well as timely and quality execution all contribute to reporting the health of the FCM organization.

In this role, you will:
  • Manage and develop a team of multiple level within the Control Job Family, with focus on delivering service of moderate to high complexity for cross functional stakeholders and internal partners associated with the function or affected by its outcomes.
  • Lead transformation efforts for business process consolidation and optimization through common risk and control development and maturity.
  • Identify opportunities to prioritize automation with most benefit and least costs.
  • Lead execution of issue management portfolio (acceleration, control automation, volume, and recommendations to merge issues).
  • Coordinate horizontally on the development or uplift of shared controls.
  • Lead the controls team by making strategic decisions to resolve highly complex issues by ensuring all process weaknesses or gaps are identified and remediation plans are supported and acted upon
  • Interpret and develop range of policies and procedures for business functions with moderate to high complexity and risk.
  • Collaborate with and influence corporate heads, business heads, legal, audit, regulators, industry partners, elected officials, and trade groups including more experienced leadership.
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and aligned with strategic objectives in Business Controls functional area.
  • Develop and guide a culture of Business Controls talent development to meet business objectives and strategies.
Required Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of Risk Management or Business Controls experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of management or leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Consumer lending or servicing
  • Experience performing risk assessments
  • Applying, executing, reviewing controls with business processes
  • Call center service experience in the financial services industry
  • Operations experience in consumer operations or fraud and claims management
