The role is in the Fund Finance ("FFG") team that sits within the Capital Markets vertical of CIB's Financial Institutions group, and provides financing to private equity funds and asset managers through structured credit facilities. The role will require the person to understand our business processes and help with their automation by creating VBAs. Most of our business processes are Excel based and handle large volumes of data.

The successful candidate will work closely with Fund Finance's global team members located in Charlotte (North Carolina), New York, Los Angeles and London. The roles involves significant opportunities to learn, develop and work as an integral member of the business.

As one of the core members of Automation team, the role will offer good opportunity to understand all processes, identify areas of automation and build automation solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Process Assessment/Identify the improvement opportunities
  • Take up excel based user stories, visualize, design and develop Excel Macros with VBA & Excel Formula skills
  • Understand business requirement & converting it into technical functional specification
  • Project feasibility study and effort estimation
  • Solution evaluation and recommendation
  • Stakeholder Management Aiding US- and London-based partners in implementing automation solutions to increase efficiency and accuracy of various processes
  • Maintaining various databases and various spreadsheets for internal reporting
  • Preparing monthly &/or quarterly decks to report
  • Gain understanding of and contribute to all SF processes
Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualification:
  • At least a BCA/BCS/BSc in Computer Science, MCA in Information Systems, or an equivalent qualification. MBA would be an advantage.
  • From 3 to 6 years of experience, with minimum three years' experience in VBA development, automation etc.
  • Expertise in VBA based macros on Excel, Outlook, Access, Word, PPT, Web Scrapping and other VBA supported applications.
  • Advanced Excel skills (i.e. complex formulas, graphs, pivots)
  • Ability to normalize complex data; Experience with data analysis and BI reporting.
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written. Ability to clearly & concisely speak on complex topics, as well as strong business writing skills
  • High level of personal motivation, strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively work across continents
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced production environment and juggle a variety of tasks (time management skills are important)
  • Must be comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • BCA/BCS/BSc in Computer Science, MCA in Information System. MBA/CFA will be a big plus
  • Expertise in Excel VBA mcros coding and scripting is mandatory
