About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an Analytics Consultant.
In this role, you will:
- Consult with business line and enterprise functions on less complex research
- Use functional knowledge to assist in non-model quantitative tools that support strategic decision making
- Perform analysis of findings and trends using statistical analysis and document process
- Present recommendations to increase revenue, reduce expense, maximize operational efficiency, quality, and compliance
- Identify and define business requirements and translate data and business needs into research and recommendations to improve efficiency
- Participate in all group technology efforts including design and implementation of database structures, analytics software, storage, and processing
- Develop customized reports and ad hoc analyses to make recommendations and provide guidance to less experienced staff
- Understand compliance and risk management requirements for supported area
- Ensure adherence to data management or data governance regulations and policies
- Participate in company initiatives or processes to assist in meeting risk and capital objectives and other strategic goals
- Collaborate and consult with more experienced consultants and with partners in technology and other business groups

- 2+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Experience in Payments Operations/Process Excellence/Financial Services/Banking Industry experience, or equivalent demonstrated
- 2+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience, or a combination of both
- BS/BTech degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics
- 2+ years of SQL or SAS experience. Ability and desire to read other people's code and develop new code
- Experience with automating technical processes using Python, SAS Macros, DB Stored Procedures and UNIX Shell scripting
- Demonstrated experience with techniques and programming tools including a high level of proficiency with large databases/data warehouse (Oracle, Teradata)
- BI skills: Experience in creating dashboard using Tableau /Power BI
- Ability and desire to perform Documentation of process flow, business analysis and metadata
- Organized. Detail oriented. Ability and Desire to understand the business and get into the weeds
- Financial Services experience
- Knowledge and understanding of databases and data mining techniques
- Strong collaboration skills
- High energy & strong communication skills (presentation and narrative skills)
- Ability to translate analytical data into useful business information
- Self-driven and passionate about continuous learning
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize between projects
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Technical Writing experience would be an added advantage
- Experience on Python , Alteryx and working knowledge on tools like Jira and Confluence would be a plus
