Overview
Waters Corporation is currently seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented candidate to lead our Warehouse Operations team in Milford, MA. This position will lead 1 Supervisor and 13-15 Direct Labor employees, being essential for the site strategy in regards of the inflow of materials to all our production centers and the outflow of finish goods to our distribution center in Franklin, MA. This candidate will drive end to end Lean Transformation of the warehouse reporting directly to the Sr. Manufacturing Operations Director.
The owner of this position interfaces with Production, Planning, Procurement and Distribution to satisfy the demand in a timely manner for our external customers, our global Waters' sites and our Contract Manufactures in Singapore while controlling around $70M in inventory. The successful candidate will be a passionate and agile leader, who strives to deliver superior value to our internal and external customers every day. Should have the ability to improve the effectiveness of the current processes and systems leading to our product availability, effective inventory management and productivity. This hands-on position requires dynamic lean leader, excellent interpersonal skills, problem solving, critical thinking as well as a transformational agent to see the organization succeed.

Responsibilities
- Safety Culture: Develop and maintain a zero-incident safety culture by implementing comprehensive risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and robust behavioural safety programs.
- Operations Oversight: Manage Receiving, Repacking, Picking, and Shipping areas, optimizing material handling processes, and ensuring accurate inventory control using SAP.
- Leadership & Performance: Lead warehouse operations with a focus on enhancing performance through a performance management system, continuous employee development, and strategic goal setting.
- Operational Efficiency: Standardize and optimize procedures to improve operational efficiency, utilizing visual management tools, KANBAN systems, and best practices for work area organization.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish and track KPIs through detailed dashboards to monitor safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Scheduling & Resource Planning: Implement digital scheduling tools for receiving, picking, and delivery activities, ensuring efficient resource allocation and adherence to FIFO/LIFO principles.
- Communication & Coordination: Enhance coordination with distribution centers, improve material flow using heat map analysis, and ensure traceability and accuracy of shipments through system integration.
Qualifications
- BA/BS in Supply Chain related field required.
- Minimum 10 years related experience Supply Chain field such as: Planning, Inventory, Procurement, Distribution or Production Management. Must have experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- 7+ years of people leadership experience managing a team of direct reports.
- Advanced proficiency with SAP APO and Microsoft applications required.
- APICS CPIM and Lean Manufacturing certification or equivalent highly desired.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and drive corrective actions. Strong leadership skills, self-directed and the ability to make independent decisions.
