Overview

Waters is seeking a highly creative, personable, and extremely focused Creative Media Specialist who specializes in video production and has experience in graphic design work. This includes video editing, graphic design, and video related duties.

The Creative Media Specialist is a well-organized individual who is a creative visual storyteller, who can take raw video footage and create an impactful final video.

The Creative Media Specialist must be comfortable working within the Adobe Creative Cloud and have advanced knowledge of Premiere and preferably After Effects. Most video projects we create have some level of 2D animation so a basic understanding with motivation to grow those skills is required.

This role also involves graphic design for both static graphics and motion graphics development. The right candidate for this role will be comfortable creating graphics from scratch inspired by existing branding.

The right candidate is someone experienced in creating video for social media, the web and digital channels. They must be familiar with the language of the digital community and have a passion to stay on top of the latest and best trends in video production - from content, to technology, to new platforms. This means they're willing to take initiative to try something new and understand how to weave the branding of the business into new content.

Responsibilities

  • Video editing and graphic design using various Adobe Creative Cloud apps (Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Create graphic design work for videos and static graphics for emails, social media, internal digital platforms.
  • Light photo editing and image resizing.
  • Ability to create on-brand 2D motion graphics animations. Strong skills in After Effects preferred.
  • Handle own editing workload including calendar planning, and balancing editing workload to stay on schedule.
  • Foster a positive, proactive, collaborative, and creative work atmosphere
  • Keep current with the latest developments and trends in video production
  • Process video upload requests and additional administrative duties such as compressing videos, organizing and archiving video or design content, creating pre-production booklets and other administrative tasks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in cinematography or video/film production. Significant demonstrated professional experience without this degree will also be considered.
  • 3+ years' experience working within Video Production, preferably in a corporate setting
  • Strong sense of design and brand
  • 2D Animation graphics experience required; illustration and 3D animation experience a plus
  • Proficiency Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Photoshop and other Creative Suite products
  • Knowledge of compression standards across multiple platforms
  • Creative thinker and innovator with an acute eye for engaging visual storytelling
  • Ability to adjust artistic vision based on the needs of the client and/or project goals
  • Strong knowledge of the digital video landscape
  • Must be able to manage feedback from multiple parties and deal with curveballs
  • Experience with editing green-screen based studio/on-location production work, and have a deep understanding of its workflows
  • Ability to think on feet, multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure
  • Responsible, with a positive attitude and ability to work well with a team
