Your New Role...
CNN is seeking a Talent Executive Assistant to partner with one of its most high-profile and in-demand correspondents. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive and trustworthy. They will act as a delegate for the talent, both inside and outside the company. They need to perform well under pressure and always represent the team in a professional manner. While most work is expected to take place during weekday working hours, this candidate should expect to be on-call, reachable and able to engage at night and on weekends as needed.
Your Role Accountabilities...
- Support all non-editorial needs of the talent, including - but not limited to - maintaining their calendar, arranging travel and reconciling expense reports
- Collaborate with CNN executives, producers and PR to schedule shoots, promotional opportunities and other professional commitments
- Maintain a "30,000-foot view" of the talent's extensive priorities and shifting responsibilities; work to ensure their schedule is as productive and efficient as possible
- Screen and, when appropriate, answer phone calls and emails sent to the talent
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience...
- To thrive in this role, you should be meticulously organized, detail-oriented and able to self-start, prioritize and multitask
- You need to have good business judgment and maintain confidentiality, as well as your composure, under pressure
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills will ensure your success
- A bachelor's degree or commensurate experience, as well as five years' experience working with talent and/or senior management, are preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Apple/iOS products, Slack and Zoom
