Your New Role
Warner Bros. Discovery seeks a Sr. Analyst, Procure to Pay (P2P) for the Global Business Services - Global Procure to Pay department. The Sr. Analyst is responsible for the Accounts Payable processes and controls within P2P. This individual will engage with Business Units to drive continuous improvement, adoption of processes and standards in alignment with corporate policies. They should also ensure purchases and payments are executed timely and within set policies and procedures. The role will also need to provide direction to capability center staff and outsource providers to work through and resolve escalated procure to pay operational issues; including education depending on resolution. The role will also ensure business units, capability centers and outsource providers comply with policies and procedures, assist with ad hoc/urgent payments, and work with team leads to resolve any discrepancies. The role will be expected to participate as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) as needed and may be asked to lead projects, process improvement initiatives, and provide updates and recommendations to operationalize with direction from management.
Your Role Accountabilities
- Assist with invoice entry, particularly for urgent requests. This could vary based on ERP system and will require error handling knowledge and experience.
- Research and resolve invoice errors that prevent posting or payment and escalate repetitive issues and suggest process improvements to the Manager and Global Process Owner. The recommendation should include analysis of resolution.
- Monitor open tickets and respond to critical issues. Role would serve as a Tier II escalation point, but also provide Tier I support during high volume ticket times. Contact Business Unit, vendor, or other involved party to resolve identified issues.
- Work with IT support on system issues to drive to resolution. This would include the identification of the issue and testing of the resolution.
- Monitor business unit compliance with P2P Policies and Procedures established for outsourced service delivery.
- Participate in P2P team calls with leadership, Outsource and Captive teams to support the overall process. Should be able to provide support in the end-to-end P2P process and work to become expert in related areas, including, AP.
- Support payment distribution functions. This would include the handling and mailing of manually printed checks.
- Lead projects as directed by P2P Management.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5-7 years experience in the Procure to Pay process, preferably in Accounts Payable.
- Experience with SAP ECC, SAP S4 and Ariba applications.
- Experience with Bank portals, including the entry of manual payments.
- Experience with ticketing platforms, primarily ServiceNow.
- Customer service skills, including the ability to handle challenging customers.
- Experience with Excel and reporting tools.
