As the Senior FP&A Opex Analyst, you support the Networks domain within the CoE, which offers you a great opportunity to participate in the overall finance transformation roadmap setting standards for the FP&A processes.
Your main responsibility is to ensure proactive and timely high-quality forecasting, reporting and analysis in the Networks OPEX P&L. You will develop deep knowledge and competencies in this area to provide business stakeholders with required information to make right and timely decisions.
Your Role Accountabilities...
- Driving OPEX Insights and Analysis - Lead OPEX analyses across managed functions, to improve understanding, identify opportunities and feed into broader strategic questions,
- Support month end close activities related to accruals/deferrals of different costs and validation of actual results in the system,
- Provide variance analysis to explain actual and forecasted performance of managed markets/regions vs prior year/plan/prior forecast,
- Support forecasts/budgets development for managed functions by working with finance business partners to review and validate their bottom's up, providing assessment and recommendations for OPEX and Capital drivers,
- Build and develop Opex reporting,
- Ad hoc Operational and Cost Management Projects e.g. transitions, allocations projects, presentations etc.
Qualifications & Experience...
- Experience in Finance function, controllership, or FP&A department,
- Very good English verbal and written communication skills,
- CIMA/ACCA qualified or education in progress desired,
- Strong analytical and numerical skills,
- Strong MS Excel (power query, power pivot) & PowerPoint skills,
- Experience in using EPM solution such as SAP BPC, Hyperion, Cognos, Anaplan,
- Experience in using one of the ERP systems as SAP, Peoplesoft, Oracle.
II. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Forecasting/Budgeting/Strategic planning: collect forecast data and drivers, prepare forecast for opex & capex, prepare long term/strategic plans, set annual targets, planning assumptions.
Reporting development: create/maintain self-service reports, create ad-hoc reports and support custom presentations, consolidate forecast and perform forecast reporting, develop plan and long-range plan reporting.
Month End Close/Variance Analysis: coordinate with controllership and RTS teams on month end activities, create ad-hoc analytics and reports, Identify Gaps to Targets, incl. Risks and Opportunities (e.g., Scenario / Sensitivity Analysis), Review Current Performance vs Forecast (e.g., Variance Analysis, reports, metrics)
Data Governance/System Maintenance/Projects: Provide Financial Systems Support/ Maintain Financial Systems, Maintain Planning Systems, Tools and Templates, Maintain Planning Calendars, Policies and Procedures, Maintain Allocation models: Systems used: Peoplesoft, Hyperion and other.
