Job Overview
The Promo Planning & Strategy Senior Manager is responsible for the overall promo planning and strategy formulation for all in app promos on Max, working closely with cross-functional teams such as Content Operations, Marketing, CRM and Programming teams to synergize goals and objectives in order to drive sustenance in engagement and higher viewership.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Leading the team responsible for planning all in-stream promotion on MAX and specifically responsible for planning for all HBO, MAX, Discovery/Warner off-network, theatrical and brand campaigns on the Ad Free tier.
- Work closely with insights team to drive engagement and retention within the product and ensuring each campaign achieves its unique objectives.
- Maintain campaign planning database and dashboard to prepare, analyze, and distribute in-stream campaign insights for both recurring (weekly and monthly meetings) and ad hoc purposes.
- Partner with insights teams to assess in-stream performance and provide strategic recommendations to increase campaign effectiveness.
- Communicate campaign plans to Program Marketing and collaborate with Retention & Engagement on key initiatives, and Marketing Intelligence to assess in-stream performance.
- Oversee competitive analysis projects to enable data-driven decisions and present key findings to senior leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: At least Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in media or a related field
- Prior Experience / Industry: At least 6 years of experience in media, TV networks or streaming business.
- Keen knowledge of TV content and streaming services.
- Experience in managing a team and using program and/or promo scheduling tools in any media company.
- Demonstrates project management capabilities, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results under pressure.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- High level organizational skills, ability to prioritize and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
