About the Role:
As the Senior Brand Marketing Director, Streaming & Networks you will spearhead the marketing strategy and drive brand growth for Warner Bros. Discovery's streaming service Max and our linear channels across the Nordics. Your leadership will be pivotal in elevating the brands for Max and our linear channels throughout the region. You will utilize data-driven insights to refine campaign effectiveness, inform strategic decisions and fuel brand growth.
Leveraging our global and local original content, you will create impactful campaign moments that drive FOMO, resonate with audiences, enhance brand consideration, awareness and engagement. You will play a key role in scaling the business through innovative Nordic marketing strategies, fostering a culture of bold and imaginative thinking while streamlining processes for enhanced collaboration and efficiency between teams and markets.
We seek an ambitious and results-oriented marketing leader with a proven track record to cultivate strong brand affinity. Your expertise in media planning, optimization and KPI analysis will be crucial in supporting the country marketing leaders and social teams to achieve executional excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive Nordic campaign and brand strategies for Max and our flagship channels, improving campaign effectiveness, consumer engagement and FOMO
- Monitor and report on brand health in the region
- Track performance for Max and our channel portfolio Kanal 5, TVNorge and TV5
- Create and maintain essential brand communication tools, including brand bibles, decks and sizzles for Max and our linear channels
- Act as a brand guardian for Max, Kanal 5, TVNorge and TV5, ensuring consistent brand representation across the business
- Drive brand innovation, identifying new opportunities to build and evolve our brands based on consumer needs and trends
- Lead the creative route selection and approval for major campaigns
- Foster creative innovation; develop and execute disruptive, world-class campaigns that position Max and our linear channels as essential platforms
- Collaborate effectively with media agencies to develop and implement media playbooks
- Ensure timely campaign execution, communicate campaign results to stakeholders and apply learnings to future campaigns
- Analyze collective campaign performance against marketing plan objectives
- Champion brand purpose and integrate it into brand definitions and consumer touchpoints
- Lead, mentor, and develop large, diverse, and cross-functional marketing teams
- Utilize PCA, competitive analysis, and campaign data to optimize decision-making and measure campaign effectiveness
Your Experience:
- Extensive experience in brand marketing and leadership roles within the streaming industry is essential
- Proven expertise in managing streaming workflows for both local productions and global international titles
- A creative mind to deliver impactful brand campaigns that drive streaming and networks growth
- Considerable experience in managing media agency relationships
- Demonstrated ability to inspire outstanding creative work that delivers engagement, brand growth and business results
- Proven experience building brands and developing results-oriented marketing plans
- Familiarity with brand fundamentals (architecture, identity, and competitive positioning)
- Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring large, diverse, and cross-functional marketing teams
- Strong financial acumen, including P&L management, budget optimization and campaign effectiveness tracking
- Deep understanding of the Nordic market, including cultural nuances, regulatory landscapes and consumer behavior
- Exceptional communication and presenting skills
- A highly driven and independent creative thinker capable of providing innovative insights, strategic direction, and conceptual development for brand projects
- Lead creative route selection for all campaigns, influence final decisions for major briefs and present innovative ideas for EMEA approval
- Lead kick-off meetings with producers and local talents to provide clear marketing team direction
- Operates with a high degree of common sense, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Strong financial acumen to manage budgets, analyze marketing initiative efficiency and support overall corporate financial objectives
- Significant experience marketing subscription services
- A motivational and supportive team leader
- Expertise in influencer marketing, social, digital marketing, brand strategy, content marketing
- Comfortable working under pressure with tight and changing deadlines
- Outstanding written, design and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills across local and international teams
- Fluency in English and at least one Scandinavian language
