Your New Role...

The Revenue Accountant role is a member of the Networks Distribution Revenue accounting team and is directly responsible for processing, reconciling and maintaining a portfolio of US and Canada-based affiliate accounts which includes but is not limited to: processing remits, account reconciliation, financial & trending analysis, preparing and reviewing journal entries, and other duties as listed below. The Revenue Accountant will interact regularly with a cross-functional team of internal and external stakeholders, including partnering closely with Order to Cash Team, the Finance Team that supports the distribution revenue area, and internal and external audit.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Handle day-to-day month and quarter end close activities including preparation and review of revenue/subscriber reconciliations and analysis, journal entries and supporting documentation, account reconciliations, flux and trend analysis, SOX control documentation, preparation of SEC Reporting deliverables, and other tasks as requested by management ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met on time.
  • Monitor Affiliate compliance with new and existing legal agreements. Ensure proper internal controls are in place and all transactions are recorded timely and accurately in accordance with US GAAP and established SOX requirements and procedures. Articulate areas of specific concern with management appropriately.
  • Maintain ownership of the assigned Affiliate accounts and related processes end to end
  • Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to perform review of accounts and revenue processes in order to foster a continuous improvement environment
  • Produce ad hoc analysis to service interdepartmental customers
  • Participate in professional development and other non-core business activities and initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience...

  • 1 - 3 years of work experience in an accounting role and understanding of US GAAP 606 and SOX 404 requirements.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or finance and experience in international environment.
  • Active CPA or ACCA, alternatively a path towards completion would be an advantage.
  • Experienced in MS Office applications, Excel in particular is a must.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP preferred.
  • Results oriented, strong attention to detail is a must.
  • Embraces change driven by evolving business initiatives and maintains positivity when time-sensitive milestones shift.
  • Ability to work independently as well as working collaboratively with team members across the organization and prioritize multiple deliverables with competing deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Very good written and spoken English is a must.

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager.
