Maven is looking for a highly motivated Revenue Accountant with a background in public or corporate accounting to join our team.
You will have the unique opportunity to help build out revenue functions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and play a key role in the development and enhancement of our internal processes and systems to drive full compliance with the revenue recognition standard ASC 606.
As a Revenue Accountant at Maven, you will:
- Support the month-end and quarter-end revenue close, including invoicing, reconciliations, related fluctuation analysis and other reporting requirements
- Support the quote to cash process
- Evaluate customer contracts to ensure that revenue is recognized accurately in accordance with accounting standards
- Participate in developing and maintaining strong internal controls, ensuring quality controls over the order to cash process
- Responsible for managing all outstanding receivables and follow-up communications
- Assist in the building out operating procedures and controls for invoicing and revenue recognition
- Partner with the Data team to enhance the process and create visibility into customer billing
- Provide support with audit requests and deliverables
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be located in/around NYC. Role is hybrid (3 days/week in office)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA or working towards CPA
- Minimum one to three years of progressive work experience
- Proficiency with advanced formulas in Microsoft excel and Google Suite applications
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills, with a sharp focus on details
- Ability and desire to build and cultivate strong relationships with team members and internal
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in telehealth or SaaS
- Experience with Salesforce, Looker and NetSuite
For candidates in NYC, CA, or CO, the salary range for this role is $77,000 - $100,000 per year. You may also be entitled to receive stock options, and benefits.
