Your New Role...

Corporate Communications Director, Nordics will work closely with the VP Communications & PR, Nordics to drive Warner Bros. Discovery's corporate brand, reputation and employee engagement across the Nordic markets; Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark.

This role is important in growing the reputation of WBD's Nordic business and its leaders and executing the Nordic communications strategy in line with the organisation with the objective of informing, educating and exciting external and internal stakeholders about the current successes and future ambitions of Warner Bros. Discovery.

Warner Bros. Discovery organisation has multiple lines of business across Nordics including content production, commercial partnerships, free-to-air, pay TV, theatrical and streaming. The Corporate Communications Director will help to ensure our story is clear in the Nordic market and our relationships are strong in areas that will support our growth.

The Director will be working closely with the company's stakeholders across the Nordic markets and focus also driving the internal communications plan. This includes coordinating information flow from the various stakeholders and ensuring accurate and timely dissemination companywide.

This role reports to the VP Communications, Nordics and can be based in Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen or Helsinki.

Your Role Accountabilities...

• Contribute towards and execute external and internal corporate communications plans for the Nordic market supporting the VP communications, Nordics

• Proactively seek corporate positioning opportunities, including media engagement and speaking opportunities, creating a yearly speaking event plan for WBD

• Develop familiarity with all WBD Nordic's sub brands in each of the Nordic markets and the different needs and approaches

• Create corporate press releases, talking points, Q&A's, statements and key messages for spokespeople as well as various reports for the leadership

• Contribute towards planning and execute external communication events including press conferences and panels focusing on corporate messaging and branding

• Partner and maintain good relations with other departments in WBD to secure alignment and best possible result for the company

• Plan and execute internal events, campaigns and communications for the Nordic employee population. Drive internal engagement through the execution of internal communications across multiple lines of business

• Create regular updates for leadership and stakeholders on upcoming events and announcements, including timing

• Support in crisis communications both externally and internally

Qualifications & Experience...

• A proven communications professional with extensive experience from the industry and media and communications strategy development, crisis communications and internal communications

• An individual with a passion for communications and WBD's brands such as Kanal 5, TV Norge, HBO, Max and Warner Bros.

• A strategic thinker, well organised with a hands-on mindset and a proven ability to work effectively on several projects at the same time and deliver on deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment.

• Ability to execute projects to the highest standard with an excellent attention to detail

• Dynamic and confident personality, adaptable with personal drive and motivation

• Strong understanding of the mechanisms within communication and on what should be shared externally and internally

• Proactive team player who easily builds new working relationships, but at the same thrives in working independently as many of the colleagues are based across the Nordics.

• Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills plus at least one Nordic language on a native level.

• Ability to communicate ideas succinctly and clearly to employees at all levels

• A strong network of journalists within the Nordic trades is a plus

• Communications, Business or Marketing degree preferred
