Your New Role...
The position will support the editorial news and programming operations throughout EMEA, based in London. Provide visibility into business activities by maintaining cost reports on expenses and providing ad hoc analysis to facilitate decision making. As a 'company connector' you will ensure compliance with expense management, company policies, procedures, processes, and procurement - liaising with Finance, Accounting, HR, Legal, Security, Procurement, and Compliance. Where appropriate, issues will be escalated to appropriate levels. Although a significant amount of time will be spent on transactional activities, several strategic process and cost-saving initiatives are currently in-flight, where support will be required.
Your Role Accountabilities...
- Manage and review Concur expense reports, ensuring accurate allocation of expenses and timely approvals.
- Oversee invoice approval processes and ensure purchase orders are properly receipted in the system.
- Maintain and update department budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring alignment with financial goals.
- Provide regular updates and reports on cost tracking to relevant stakeholders.
- Facilitate the procurement of equipment as needed, ensuring proper vendor selection, cost control, and delivery timelines.
- Manage the onboarding process for new employees, freelancers, and vendors, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Provide operational support for strategic projects, assisting with resource allocation, timeline management, and tracking progress.
- Be available on-call for urgent matters, including handling breaking news and processing cash advances.
Qualifications & Experience...
- Solid experience in a similar role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with strong data analysis skills.
- Highly accurate, detail-oriented, and analytical with excellent communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Familiarity with expense reporting systems, ideally SAP Concur.
- Experience with accounts payable systems, such as PeopleSoft and SAP Ariba.
- Prior experience within a multinational and/or media organization is a plus.
- Experience in project management and/or process improvement (Lean Six Sigma) is desirable.
Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
