Your New Role:
This position supports the delivery of Warner Bros. Discovery Original programming for worldwide business deals, spanning EST, SVOD, TVOD, AVOD, FAST, linear networks, airlines, and other distribution vehicles. This role will be responsible for ensuring the timely distribution of content (digital media and related ancillary assets in various foreign languages and technical formats).
% Time Spent on The Daily
- Under general supervision and as assigned by the line Manager, the Specialist coordinates the creation and delivery of assets to vendors, and WBD affiliates, for multiple WBD businesses. The assets delivered include all Warner Bros Discovery original content, which is received around the globe for intercompany (e.g Max), and 3rd party licenses and affiliates.
- This work includes:
- asset research, movement of assets, writing media delivery orders for preparatory and final delivery,
- working with key business data such as air schedules
- liaising with media vendors performing conform/duplication and technical packaging,
- troubleshooting technical problems related to content deliverables and ensuring timely delivery of content.
- Manage incoming alerts from 3rd party vendors and determine escalation paths (as needed) based on the nature of the issue.
- Act as the initial point of contact on assigned orders for the recipients and applicable vendors in the event of exceptions/rejections to ensure on time delivery of assigned work. Work with internal technical and operational teams to resolve as well.
- Involvement with client on-boarding workflows may also be necessary.
- Work closely with Line Manager in all day to day servicing activities, ensuring a clear flow of communication.
Qualifications & Experiences:
- Minimum 2 years' experience managing and supporting file-based workflows within a media organization, post-production facility or equivalent.
- High level knowledge of technical workflows for media encoding, QC, metadata management and distribution.
- Proven high-level knowledge of broadcast material formats (tape/file/audio) duplication, file formats, and component-based media packages.
- The role is heavily administrative therefore clear, concise communication both in writing and verbally is a pre-requisite.
- Strong business English is necessary.
Not Required but preferred experience:
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with Xytech systems is plus
- Hands on experience working with third party vendors for the production and distribution of consumer content.
- Experience with technical and descriptive metadata for large global platforms such as Amazon PV, Netflix, Apple, Google, is ideal.
- Experience working with globally dispersed teams and timezones is ideal.
- Experience with analyzing data a plus
