The Senior Manager, Collectibles role will be responsible for leading the Toys category as part of the Collectibles business unit in Walmart Marketplace . The Walmart Marketplace is a curated community of respected, professional sellers who offer top-quality products with best-in-class customer service. The account management teams at Walmart Marketplace operate as category and account managers, straddling between establishing and driving operational strategy, seller account management to drive seller growth and business performance, while working closely with BD, site merchandising, and other cross-functional teams to drive operational rhythms for the business.

As the Senior Manager of the Toys category , you will be responsible for setting up the Collectibles Toys business comprising of categories such as Action Figures, Lego, Diecast, Vinyl Figures and Board Games . Collectibles is a strategic growth area for Walmart and t he category has seen incredible growth and dynamism recently. As the industry sees a new wave of innovation and consolidation, Walmart is poised to enter this exciting space, bringing new opportunity to the industry and sellers, while putting the community and hobbyist at the center.

You will hire and build a high performing team of account and growth managers, working with them to build their accounts through strategic account planning, performance analysis, inventory insights, deals, events, and new product launches. You will be responsible for setting up the strategy for this new business and developing its operating and executional plans in close collaboration with cross-functional partners, while influencing across levels to bring your strategy to life. You will stay close to the pulse of the industry, innovating on behalf of sellers and buyers, while constantly seeking ways for Walmart to add value to the community. You'll make an impact by:

  • Developing an assortment strategy and management for the Toys department ; follow ing processes and procedures for managing assortment quality; assist ing with the development of lists of assortment needs for a department or category; develop ing plans to address needs; record ing information used to assess assortment performance and opportunities.


  • Overseeing business performance: Lead annual and quarterly business planning and performance tracking for category, as well as direct reports managed sellers. Conduct deep dive analysis on issues effecting category business performance and implement corrective actions. Drive performance against P&L levers including gross merchandise value (GMV) and contribution profit.


  • Being a trusted advisor: Develop strong and trusting relationships with partners working across the organization to solve issues, address pain points and implement growth initiatives. Employ a "one team" approach to accomplish the goals of the business and drive negotiations from a "win-win" perspective that establishes credibility and trust with our partners and delivers consistently improved performance.


  • Guide direct reports on delivering growth for managed sellers - optimizing offer quality to maximize search optimization and discoverability across the platform, driving adoption of seller services, and developing strategic marketing plans that drive incremental traffic and GMV. Lean in as needed with sellers directly.


  • Working cross-functionally: Collaborate with Omni Merchant team, Product Management, Strategy, Operations, Site and Marketing to deliver best-in-class customer and seller experiences.


  • Building a team: Hiring and managing a team of strategic account manager(s); developing their skills and acting as a mentor.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years' experience in Business Management, Omni-Channel Category Merchandising, Account Management, digital commerce or a related area. E-Commerce experience strongly preferred.


  • At least 3+ year's experience managing a team


  • Strong organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines.


  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal and influential skills.


  • Detail and results-oriented with sense of urgency.

Hoboken, New Jersey US-10279:The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00-$216,000.00

San Bruno, California US-08848:The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
