Our Facility Services team is hiring a Senior Manager, Project Management to manage a large-scale portfolio of projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute seamless equipment upgrades that enhance energy efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and support long-term business goals. In this role, you will work cross functionally to elevate Walmart's retail portfolio.

What you’ll do:

  • Ensures construction budgets are met by advising and reviewing pre-construction budgets; reviewing and tracking monthly and quarterly budget reports; working with contractors and estimators to resolve claims; reviewing and approving contractor payments, change orders, and invoices; and managing project scope and contingency.
  • Manages equipment deliveries for remodel and special projects by reviewing blue prints; determining equipment delivery dates; ensuring on-site engineering is correct; ensuring correct engineering solution is implemented; working with suppliers, vendors, and contractors to ensure that the correct equipment is ordered and delivered on time; creating regular reports on the overall status of the program; and tracking each project from award to completion.
  • Monitors and enforces compliance with laws and regulations for construction projects by establishing, communicating, and monitoring standards of performance for contractors and suspending noncompliant work; collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide feedback; identifying and implementing design changes to comply with applicable compliance regulations; resolving noncompliance; maintaining certifications; enforcing standards with regulations and company programs; and providing guidance to team members in the application of new or changing initiatives.
  • Develops and manages multiple mechanical construction projects and programs from inception to close-out by creating and maintaining a budget guidance tool for equipment and labor costs for the purposes of creating site specific project costs; creating individual technically accurate projects and developing into a program; tracking each project logistically and financially from inception to close out; ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget; and creating regular reports on the overall status of the program.
  • Ensures that the status of each project is transparent, understood, and agreed to by all relevant and affected parties by attending regular meetings to discuss program issues and opportunities with internal departments and external agencies; attending regular update meetings to discuss progress and status of overall program; and communicating status of projects to all stakeholders.
  • Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field and 3 years' experience in construction management, construction administration, engineering, architecture, or related area OR 5 years' experience in construction management, construction administration, engineering, architecture, or related area.
  • Strong organization skills and high attention to detail
  • Collaborative mindset to closely partner with Engineering firms and other external parties to ensure project success and commitment to deadlines
  • Nice to have: Experience with end-of-life products to ensure seamless transitions and upgrades

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$155,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
