About the Team
The Grocery Automation team delivers automation solutions that unlock capacity, accuracy, and speed to deliver customer and associate value specifically within our perishable grocery network. We are modernizing and building an agile and predictable end-to-end network to deliver consistent customer experience at the optimal cost.
In this role, you will partner with our Stores, Supply Chain, and Delivery teams to develop an end-to-end operating model of the future. The role will be focused on delivering new capabilities to solve for greater efficiencies across Supply Chain and Stores.

This is an individual contributor opportunity and will report to a Director, Automation Engineering. This onsite role is located in Bentonville, Arkansas; a full relocation package is available, but we are not considering remote candidates at this time. Anticipated travel is ~25%.
What you'll do:
- Operational Excellence: Explain operational responsibilities of the department and clarify the role and relevance to the enterprise strategy
- Data and Digital Literacy: Use data analysis tools to explore moderately complex data, develop and test hypotheses, influence strategic work, and build and present insights
- Partnership and Collaboration : Engage with team members on a periodic basis to establish credibility and analyze partner needs
- Engineering Economics: Describe the concepts behind engineering economics and financial data
- Advanced Analytics: Explain the important concepts
- Process Flow Design : Interpret information to measure the anticipated outcome of supply chain decisions
- Automation Integration: Understand the concepts and uses for Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Mechatronics: Cite examples of usage or application of electrical design in automating supply chain processes and demonstrate understanding of schematics and common mechanical components of equipment
- Automation System Design: Describe main measures of success associated with the use of automation machineries
What you'll bring...
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering - industrial/mechanical preferred, but open to other disciplines based on experience; an advanced degree in Engineering or related field strongly desired
- 2+ years of Engineering experience - Supply Chain fulfillment or distribution experience is strongly preferred
- Passion about problem-solving
- Comfortability influencing others, managing team members, and getting support from leadership; supervisory experience (indirectly/project management or direct people management) is a plus
- Understanding of construction technologies, including architectural acumen, knowledge of refrigeration & fire suppression

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
