Overview:

We are seeking a self-starting and experienced Senior Designer to spearhead design efforts implementing and governing our Enterprise brand. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in graphic design and art direction. This role requires experience designing brand identities and systems, creating guidelines, developing themes for annual events, leading internal creative teams, animation, artist, and agency partners. Using a blend of strong leadership and hands-on creative expertise the Senior Designer, Enterprise Brand Design will be a key steward of the Walmart brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration: Ideate, create, and implement omnichannel design systems born from the Enterprise Brand. Work with internal and external partners to design sub-brands, services, and platform-specific identities that span across physical and digital channels.
    • Pursue ways that we can work better, faster.
    • Manage projects that are on-brief and polished, mitigating feedback, ultimately keeping workstreams on track.
  • Trend Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and consumer behaviors to inform design decisions and maintain our brand's competitive edge.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of quality and craftsmanship throughout the design and implementation process, ensuring that the final brand identity system meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Project Oversight: Manage high-profile design projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, advertising, fine arts, or related field and 5+ years designing brand identity systems in a senior role.
  • Proven track record of pixel perfect typography, logo design, iconography design, and color palette selection.
  • Exceptional portfolio showcasing design process and strategic thinking.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design tools and software including the Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Google Slides, and Figma.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate external artist partners and connect across Walmart Creative Studio.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment leading design work.
  • BONUSES: After Effects and illustration skills.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $96,000.00-$186,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
