About the team: As part of Walmart's Ecommerce org, you will be helping build the future of omni- channel retail. The mission of the Search team within is to help customers find and buy the right products from our expanding selection of inventory across stores, Walmart fulfillment and marketplace sellers.

About the role: The Director of Tech Operations for Search works across organizational lines with business, product and engineering to prioritize, design and build the Walmart online search experience. This person will help us understand and tackle problems end-to-end across multiple touchpoints to build the best experience for our customers. They will evaluate the work in context with our business objectives and customer pain points, size the potential impact and partner with Search and other internal teams to create alignment and deliver end to end solutions.

Key deliverables and impact:
• Identify Opportunities : Network across the organization (e.g. Search, Marketplaces, Site Merch, Order fulfillment, etc) to understand business opportunities (e.g. duplicates, out of stock, catalog quality, etc) and create opportunity assessments to help prioritize efforts and solutions
• Strategic Vision: Create compelling narratives around business/customer objectives that can be used to drive support and alignment across the organization. Partner with business, product, design and engineering to create Annual and Quarterly strategies and priorities. Set up processes, meetings and cadences to ensure deep alignment within Search and with the rest of the company
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Own the process of defining our key operating metrics, setting goals and tracking progress. Track progress and drive the teams to create plans to ensure goals are met.
• Complex Problem Solving: Partner with Product, Engineering and Business leads across the organization to solve intricate search problems, ensuring a customer-centric approach in execution. • Execution Excellence: Partner with product, design and engineering to define the process for creating quarterly product roadmaps, product reviews, monthly reviews and analytics insights. Align business and product stakeholders across the organization, creating processes and principles to help manage business operations (e.g. item or brand promotion levers) at scale. Transform customer insights into actionable end-to-end strategies, coordinating rollout plans and mitigating risks to the business.
• Stakeholder Communication: Build and communicate alignment around the Search experience direction, liaising with a broad spectrum of stakeholders in other organizations, including business partners, site merchants, marketplaces, operations, product, engineers and designers.
• Team Building & Mentorship: Foster a team-centric environment by hiring, training, mentoring, and overseeing a team of Business Leads, while championing diversity and inclusion.

Minimum Qualifications
• 8 years' experience in business/product management of technically complex products.

Preferred Qualifications
• 4 years of experience in Retail / eCommerce Search preferred, with experience driving big, impactful end-to-end initiatives from front-end (customer experience) to back-end (algorithms and infrastructure).
• At least 2.5 years of experience successfully leading a team.
• Outstanding business acumen, with experience of managing revenue objectives and driving revenue and customer growth via defining and delivering tailored customer experiences.
• Strong analytical expertise. Comfortable using data to glean insights. Experience creating operating metrics, setting goals and holding teams accountable.
• Strong technical background with a deep understanding of software development processes, methodologies and experience contributing to designing technical architecture.
• Solid understanding of the flow of the inventory from suppliers all the way to the customer's doorstep.
• Adept at diving deep into search including algorithms and technical details.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
