We are looking for a dynamic, seasoned ecommerce professional to drive major category initiatives across all categories for the Walmart Marketplace on Walmart.com ! This highly collaborative and cross-functional leader will work across all categories to ensure we are tracking to goals.

Strategic Visioning:

  • Developing a comprehensive strategy across a portfolio of categories to drive outsized growth.
  • Translate vision and strategy into actions to motivate and inspire the team (including Category and Strategic Initiative Leaders) to drive key levers impacting category excellence.

  • Developing and leveraging internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by sponsoring and leading key initiatives.
  • Engaging key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives; supports associate efforts in these areas.
  • Ensure and communicate appropriate prioritization of inbound requests from partner teams.

Category Financials:

  • Validating forecasts for each category.
  • Centrally pulling all category financial information together.
  • Ensuring the comprehensive category plans enable achievement of our forecast, AOP and LRP.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborates with product and cross-functional partners in site operations and site merchandising to establish the site as a best-in-class leader within its product categories.
  • Partner with merchants to determine how to expand the category through new and existing seller and supplier relationships.

Market Positioning and Analytics:

  • Provide overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer and seller environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning.
  • Directs the analysis of key market and product positioning information for a highly complex category and builds expertise across retailer/brand dynamics, shopper requirements, competitor site benchmarking, etc.
  • Reviews and develops plans for category success based on analysis; Determines category assortment and strategy/market positioning across multiple websites and drives continuous improvement through strategic partnerships with retailers and brands; Advises on best way to optimize product sourcing mix.

People Development:

  • Ensures associates are receiving learning and development opportunities (e.g. training, mentoring) for the good of the associate and Walmart
  • Coach team members and provides feedback to enhance skills, knowledge and work performance
  • Recommends enhancements based on industry and organizational knowledge and best practices.

Empowering Others:

  • Support a growth environment in a highly complex category in which managers are empowered to lead and execute on the category's strategy and objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting, selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent.
  • Cultivate an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices; developing consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supporting the Open Door Policy.

Hoboken, New Jersey US-10279/Bellevue, Washington US-11075:The annual salary range for this position is $132,000.00-$264,000.00

Sunnyvale, California US-08479/San Bruno, California US-08848:The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00

Bentonville, Arkansas US-09401:The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Social Science, Communications, or related field and 6 years' experience in retail merchandising, operations management, or related area OR 8 years' experience in retail merchandising, operations management, or related area.
2 years' supervisory experience
