Job Summary
Join Walmart and play a pivotal role in leading multi-million-dollar programs and initiatives aimed at preparing our company for a sustainable and regenerative future. As the Director of Design and Execution for Electrical Infrastructure, you will guide a dynamic team, collaborate across various business units, and spearhead implementation initiatives to enhance our facilities for the future.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead a team to execute electrical infrastructure projects focused on energy resilience, end-of-life management, and operational efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Develop and lead multiple cross-functional groups by understanding current processes, identifying value gaps, and benchmarking industry best practices.
- Project Oversight: Oversee Walmart's Electrical Design Policy and Engineering Collective to ensure project designs and implementations meet future needs.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, engineering firms, suppliers, and contractors to define project scopes, budgets, design specifications, timelines, and implementation procedures.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure project quality aligns with design specifications by observing construction activities, addressing implementation issues, and negotiating with retail operations and cross-functional teams.
- Program Management: Establish and maintain program roadmaps and budgets by managing master schedules, setting team objectives, removing performance barriers, controlling expenses, and providing leadership reports.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards through site inspections, maintaining certifications, issuing construction change directives, testing materials, and suspending work when necessary.
- Business Plan Execution: Drive the execution of business plans by identifying customer and operational needs, developing business strategies, removing barriers, providing resources, measuring progress, and developing contingency plans.
- Policy Promotion: Promote and support company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and directing others in their application and ensuring compliance.
- Continuous Improvement: Evaluate the effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consult with key stakeholders; solicit and apply suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness; and participate in community outreach events.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
