About the Team

The VIZIO Software Product Management team is currently seeking a Staff Product Manager to define product requirements around app certifications for tier-1 apps which include Netflix, YouTube and Amazon Prime Video. The ideal candidate for this position has a thorough understanding of video apps, operating sytems and certification requirements of our key partners.

What You Will Do

  • Define the product vision and design the roadmap for software certifications with tier 1 partners.
  • Partner across cross-functional teams to define PRDs/MRDs for TV software and collaborate with other PMs and engineering groups to drive execution.
  • Manage key partner relationships including ODM/OEM partnerships, chipset, and app partners. Communicate the roadmap and its status to key stakeholders inside the company and with partners.
  • Perform competitive analysis and benchmark product performance against the rest of the industry and customer expectations.
  • Define and manage key software features and KPIs based on the market analysis.
  • Gather user research and performance data and translate them into clear and concise technical product requirements.
  • Review product development progress against product requirements and make judgement on assigning resources to issues.
  • Collaborate with engineering, support, marketing, and design teams, and effectively help coordinate releases of new features and product improvements.
  • Collaborate with QA team to manage beta program for new features.
  • Drive and collaborate with Business/Product Planning, Sales and Marketing for a successful product launch and go-to market strategy.

About You

  • BS degree in Engineering or related field required; MBA is a plus, but not required.
  • 3-5 years experience in product management.
  • 5+ years experience in technical business practice.
  • Experience in Agile, SCRUM, JIRA and Confluence to guide product development process.
  • Previous work experience with consumer electronics preferably related to display products such as TVs/tablets/mobile phones and video apps.
