About the Team

VIZIO is looking for a Compliance Manager to support our Legal Compliance and Policy Team. The Compliance Manager will support the development, operation, and administration of VIZIO's compliance programs related to risk management, third party due diligence, export controls, and other internal compliance programs as assigned. This is a perfect for someone who is fast on their feet, able to pivot quickly between multiple competing priorities and deadlines, is detail oriented and diligent.

The Compliance Manager position is based in Irvine, California, and is expected to be in-office five days a week. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team of professionals within a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do

  • Manage and support the Company's third party due diligence program specific to conflicts of interest, FCPA, export controls, trade sanctions, and other areas as assigned. Partnering closely with other internal teams who have their own their own third party due diligence requirements (ex. Privacy and Info Sec).
  • Provide guidance, training, and oversight to junior team members who are conducting third party due diligence reviews utilizing tools that screen sanctions lists such as OFAC, DPL, SDN List, SSI List, Debarred Parties Lists, etc.
  • Conduct third party due diligence reviews and serve as escalation point for junior team members who are conducting third party due diligence reviews.
  • Revise and implement standard operating procedures and best practices for conducting third party due diligence. Support other compliance managers who perform other types of third party due diligence reviews and audits such as responsible sourcing.
  • Revise and update internal policies related to third party due diligence.
  • Maintain proper documentation, records, and standard reporting on third party due diligence as required and in preparation for responding to audit requests as needed.
  • Support the Company's risk management initiatives, including updating and enhancing risk registers, key risk assumptions, and managing meetings of the risk steering committee.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to administer legally required and ongoing employee training programs related to third party due diligence.
  • Create monthly and quarterly report metrics on compliance programs as assigned.
  • Support other compliance activities across the Legal Compliance and Policy Team as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree or J.D. preferred.
  • 4 + years of experience in a related role or field, with specific experience conducting or managing export controls and trade sanctions screening programs or related third party due diligence programs.
  • Experience using OneTrust, Dow Jones Risk Center, or other third party due diligence tools required.
  • Experience using Gartner resources for third party due diligence and risk management preferred.
  • Direct experience with and/or knowledge of FCPA, EAR, OFAC sanctions, DPL, SDN List, SSI List, Debarred Parties Lists.
  • Strong attention to detail and an ability to successfully project manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Ability to multitask and handle a high-volume desk with varying responsibilities and obligations.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • A sense of humor and an ability to work well individually and as part of the team.
  • Experience using SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred.
  • An appreciation for consumer technology.

For California-based employment: The minimum salary for this position is $102,000/year The maximum salary for this position $132,000/year. In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, as well as equity and a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.
