Job Description

The Consumer Products Senior Director Position will lead a team of product professionals and develop compelling and differentiated value propositions for Visa’s Consumer Products across Core and Affluent Segments. The Role Holder will be responsible for designing and executing the strategy to build a robust set of Core and optional benefits for Visa’s Consumer products. The Role Holder will co-lead client engagements to help Visa win new business. The Role Holder will also be responsible for partnering with cross-functional teams and leading Visa’s Affluent Product efforts.

Key responsibilities include:

Developing and implementing a strategic vision for Visa’s Consumer Products to drive growth and profitability.

Leading the creation and enhancement of product value propositions, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of consumers and clients.

Collaborating with sales and marketing teams to drive product adoption and market penetration.

Engaging with clients to understand their requirements and tailor product offerings to meet their specific needs.

Overseeing the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation and development to launch and post-launch evaluation.

Ensuring alignment with Visa’s overall business goals and strategies.

Staying abreast of industry trends and competitor offerings to ensure Visa’s products remain competitive.

Leading and mentoring a high-performing team of product managers and professionals.

Driving innovation and continuous improvement within the product management function.

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
Proven track record of leading high performing teams in the payments or financial services industry.
Extensive experience in product management, particularly within a payments fintech, global payments network, leading consumer bank, or related payment companies.
Strong background in new product development and the ability to translate client needs into comprehensive product requirements.
Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen, with the ability to align product strategies with business objectives.
In-depth understanding of Visa’s core payments network business and broad payments industry knowledge.
Exceptional analytical and quantitative abilities, with a strong bias towards data-driven decision making and comfort with financial analysis.
Outstanding collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries.
Results-oriented and client focused approach, with a strong commitment to delivering measurable outcomes.
Self driven, highly motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Quick learner, adaptable, and comfortable with ambiguity.
Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. An MBA is highly desirable.
Experience with regulatory requirements and compliance within the payments industry is a plus.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality results on time.
