Sr Manager, EU VAS Acceptance Solutions – Payment Processing will report to the Director, EU VAS Acceptance Solutions and will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of payment processing solutions, including straight to acquirer with direct connections, straight to issuer with Visa Platform Connect and Visa Intelligent Auth, Authorise.net, settlement, localisation for support of domestic schemes, alternative payments and backend file processing. This role will focus on creating seamless and payment processing experience for our EU Acceptance clients (acquirers, merchants and ISVs).
The successful candidate must have strong commercial acumen, data-driven strategic thinking, great presentation and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to build fast rapport and credibility with stakeholders. The focus of the role is supporting the expansion of client-relevant payment processing solutions in key EU markets, with a product and commercial mindset, short- and long-term vision, and backed by data.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in fast-paced environments with demanding timelines and will be equally comfortable interacting with a diverse range of stakeholders of various seniority level.
What we expect of you, day to day.
- Localise payment processing solutions for our EU region and markets within, gather insights on regional competitive and regulatory intelligence activities to evaluate competitors' activities and implications to inform regional solutions leads decision-making
- Lead the development and implementation of new solutions or product enhancements to drive better user experience and unlock further revenue growth
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of payment processing solutions with other Visa products and services
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities for innovation
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with Visa's strategic goals and objectives
- Advocate for payment processing solutions internally and externally, maintaining constant communication with markets, sellers and product teams
- Drive the commercialization and scaling of payment processing interface solutions, ensuring they meet the needs of Visa's European Acceptance clients (acquirers, merchants and ISVs)
- Manage the P&L of payment processing solutions, utilizing strategic planning and analytics to grow the business
- Select and monitor performance metrics to assess product performance, revenue, scalability, and longevity
- Develop sales strategies and collaborate with sales and business development teams to implement them
- Develop value propositions for payment processing solutions and build effective offers for sales channels
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager. Employees are expected to work from the office 3 set days a week, with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
- Mid-level work experience in payments or related technology/financial services field
- Preferred: experience in solution or commercialisation roles within payment processing organisations, curious, driven, strategic and analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, ability to handle uncertainty, extensive experience in executing product adjustments, and understanding of the European markets.
- Multilingual fluency – English + European language highly desirable.
- Travel: Approximately 10-15% travel required.
