Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Director, Strategy and Sales Communications, to create and drive internal communications and engagement strategies to deepen employees’ connection to Visa’s corporate strategy and commitment to sales excellence. The Senior Director will create internal campaigns, programs, and narratives that inform employees about Visa’s corporate strategic imperatives and sales execution, with an emphasis on regional application. This role also serves on the Global Enterprise Communications leadership team to strengthen the team’s culture and capabilities.

Responsibilities
Lead communications for internal programs that drive a deep connection to Visa’s corporate strategy and commitment to sales excellence.
Serve as the lead internal communications advisor to Visa’s Chief Strategy Officer, Head of Global Sales & Commercial Operations, and other leaders to engage their teams and the wider Visa population on relevant business priorities and key milestones.
Develop narrative frameworks, communications campaigns, and events designed to educate employees about how their individual roles play a part in driving the company’s success.
Create a streamlined channels strategy to reach account executives, including eliminating outdated communications vehicles and recommending better, more targeted mechanisms.
Drive a deep awareness of the company’s reinvigorated sales strategy, making an effective case for change that brings forward people’s thinking, creates an understanding of new enablement tools and materials, and builds a sales-oriented culture.
Develop and implement a 360-degree internal communications plan that informs and excites employees about the corporate strategy, imperatives, and key business priorities.
Partner with regional employee communications leads to drive strong alignment across strategy and sales narratives while remaining locally relevant.
Proactively share content with global business/function Communications leads to ensure that leaders cascade relevant messages throughout Visa.
Create narratives, communications campaigns, and events designed to educate employees about how their individual roles play a part in achieving Visa’s strategic objectives and driving the company’s success.
Oversee design and video agencies to create dynamic assets to complement the communications strategy while staying within budget.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
•12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
•15 years of communications experience with relevant experience required
•Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, public relations, journalism,
marketing, or related discipline required
•Experience in fintech, financial services, or another relevant area strongly
preferred
Preferred Qualifications
•15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
•Extensive experience in shaping sales communications strategies and creating
messaging frameworks that reinforce a company’s corporate strategy
•Demonstrated experience cultivating messages and communications channels
for hard-to-reach audiences dealing with an influx of messages and priorities
•Experience launching new or refreshed corporate initiatives
•Ability to synthesize complex business issues into programs and content that
address challenges and celebrate key milestones
•Demonstrated deep understanding of the employee audience and its needs
•Ability to influence, counsel, and guide leaders, including appropriately pushing
back on previous ways of working or means of sharing information
•Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including stellar editorial
proficiency (writing, editing, proofreading)
•Demonstrated understanding of the combined impact that well written and
highly designed communications make, keen sense of design and visual
content for production materials
•Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, pivot quickly, and respond with
urgency, unflappable in high-pressure environments
•Sound business judgment and experience connecting the dots among
seemingly unrelated topics
•Hands-on leader with outstanding attention to detail and ability to manage
multiple priorities simultaneously

Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 163,600 to 284,050 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
