What's it all about?

This senior account executive role is responsible for actively managing the relationships with 1-2 important banking clients to promote, sell and deploy the full range of Visa products and services and coordinating client projects across the Visa organisation.

What we expect of you, day to day.

  • Define sound strategy for each client to drive joint success, develop clear propositions for the full range of Visa products and services. Establish tangible Account Plan to prioritise and deliver
  • Work with clients to identify new and ongoing requirements, introducing products and services which enhance the customer payment experience and support growth for the client’s business with Visa
  • Build and oversee relationships across the whole client organisation, including card and payment experts, procurement, marketing etc. and related service providers as appropriate. Identify key influencers and stay close to identify opportunities and challenges early on
  • Drive top and bottom line growth with the bank’s organisation, ensure delivery of critical projects, manage ongoing business, resolve issues and ensure a high client satisfaction
  • Engage with colleagues across Visa, ensuring teams such as marketing, product and consulting are appropriately involved in and contributing to strategic and tactical projects to develop client business proactively
  • Drive business, engage clients, work closely with peers and colleagues, deliver and celebrate successes with verve, energy and a sense of fun
  • Build and further develop positive relationships with our customers to position Visa at the core of their business model, expansion plans and long-term commercial strategy
  • Demonstrate an ambitious approach to identify, engage, and expand client relationships, finding opportunities to further incorporate and sell Visa's product offerings into their commercial strategy
  • Use a consultative approach to understand our clients' requirements and business impact and to suggest services and solutions to jointly grow the business
  • Collaborate and engage with colleagues across Visa (Sales, Product-Management, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Consultants, etc.) to deliver solutions as one team
  • Negotiate, implement, and lead customer contract processes

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience of having managed complex clients to deliver new solutions to grow profitability of a business
  • Knowledge and experience of the payments business and financial services especially in the Austrian market
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with and influence key stakeholders
  • Good Commercial acumen and understanding of the payments market
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver client strategic plans to drive value both for the Client and Visa
  • Proven influencing, consultative selling and negotiation skills
  • Previous experience, passion, curiosity, and knowledge of financial services, and in particular payments industry
  • Strong credentials within a client facing role, along with a consistent record of achieving commercial targets
  • Commercial understanding and the ability to identify opportunities and proactively propose solutions
  • Required languages: Proficient level in German and English, both verbal and written.
