Job Description

The Risk Business Partner for Tink US is responsible to manage and continually improve Tink US’s enterprise risk management capability and risk profile. The Risk partner will be responsible to embed themselves within the business units to help identify, assess, monitor potential risks, and strengthen key controls across multiple teams.

The risk partner will provide constructive challenge to first line functions where appropriate and make recommendations to Senior Management on controls or other actions required to drive risk mitigation and reduce exposure. The individual will be regarded as a trusted business partner that can consult executive management to make key risk decisions, leveraging the expertise of the risk and business teams. The candidate is to be viewed by the organization as knowledgeable, capable, competent, and an agent for change.

The risk partner will provide oversight to Tink US and cross functional stakeholders (e.g., Client Services, Technology) to execute on risk management related to Tink US’s products, services, and operations, consistent with Tink and Visa’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework and Risk Appetite.

Candidate will be responsible for

  • Supporting Tink US’s growth strategy & strategic objectives through application of Risk Appetite to business operations.
  • Supporting the 1st Line of Defence in identification of risks & mitigation activity, providing effective oversight to the first line business functions to ensure appropriate mitigation is applied.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with the business and cross functional partners to educate and embed Lifecycle Risk Management Practices and infuse Risk Management culture into the organization.
  • Driving compliance with key risk assessment programs; partner with product owners to identify risks associated with new product initiatives.
  • Identifying risks utilizing bottom up and top down approaches to support  Tink risk profile. Partner with 1st line to reduce risk exposure.
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of risk management to ensure mitigating measures are effective in protecting the business and the wider Visa enterprise, through monitoring risk (e.g., managing risk registers, developing measurement system through Key Risk Indicators)
  • Assess new regulations impact on existing and/or new controls that are needed to satisfy the regulations.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
•5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications
•6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
•Experience of 1st or 2nd line of defense Risk Management programs and approaches within a financial services or technology setting
•Willingness to innovate and challenge the status quo, comfortable driving forward new initiatives from inception through to implementation and beyond, not afraid to fail fast and learn from mistakes.
•Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to be both strategic and tactical.
•Quick learner and can work independently and autonomously, happy to operate in an ambiguous and fast paced environment that requires strong prioritization skills.
•Collaborative personality with excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, and proven ability to develop strong relationships and work with all organizational levels across multiple teams and locations to accomplish results and exercise influence in a large, global, matrix organization.
•Demonstrable risk management experience (credit risk specifically) within the financial services, open banking, or technology industry, with knowledge, skill and understanding in applying risk management practices specifically as it relates to ERM (assessment, scoring, tolerance, mitigation/management) and/or proven risk assessment experience of strategic initiatives and transformational projects
•Knowledge of and experience in applying Enterprise risk management practices (assessment, scoring, tolerance, mitigation/management), and knowledge of other specialized risk programs (e.g. RCSAs, New Product Assessment etc.)
•Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and IBM OpenPages
•Proficiency in data analytics and visualization products
•Understanding of Open Banking industry.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 124,600.00 to 180,650.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
