Job Description

The Visa Acceptance Platform team is seeking an Intern to collaborate with our Management Team, which oversees the Business Center experience, user management, and notifications platform. Our platform supports over 4.5 million merchant locations and 1.5 million users daily, helping them manage their payments business or portfolio. As an intern, you will work closely with product managers and gain invaluable insights into the life of a product manager.

Some job duties and projects could include: 

As a Product Management Intern, you will support the product management team and contribute to the following areas: 

  • Product Research and Strategy: Help understand customer needs, analyze product analytics, and track industry trends to drive product vision and strategy for maximum business and customer impact. 
  • Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Work closely with product, engineering, customer support, marketing, sales, and business stakeholders to develop and execute product plans. 
  • Support Product Development: Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering teams to ensure they understand customer needs and the problems to be solved in order to deliver impactful solutions. 
  • Market Research: Stay current with industry advancements and trends, perform analyses to determine the best approach (buy or build solutions), and support product strategy decisions aimed at delivering the best ROI. 
  • Problem-solving and Decision-making: Utilize strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address technical and strategic challenges innovatively. 
  • Agile Product Management: Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups to support a smooth product development cycle and team success. 
  • Metrics-Driven Approach: Foster a metrics-driven work environment by encouraging high-quality experimentation and setting high standards for measuring product success. 
  • Data Analysis and Dashboard Creation: Analyze Notifications and User data to help build new dashboards and provide data-driven insights to guide product decisions. 
  • UI/UX Design Support: Assist in UI/UX design projects aimed at enhancing the user experience across the Visa Acceptance Platform. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Seek feedback and suggest improvements to internal and external processes, always aiming to optimize workflows and product outcomes. 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications 

  • Pursuing a Bachelors degree, graduating December 2025 or later 
  • Strong communications skills, specifically, the absence of repeated grammatical or typographical errors, clear and concise written and spoken communications that demonstrate professional judgment. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Previous internship experience in any business or tech-related field is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in or an interest in data analysis and dashboard creation (experience with tools like Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools is a plus)
  • Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and product design processes
  • A passion for learning, problem-solving, and building innovative products 
  • The ability to take on challenges and address problems head-on 
  • Highly driven, resourceful and results oriented 
  • Good team player and excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and navigate through ambiguity 

Additional Information

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated hourly range for a new hire into this position is $24.00 to $27.00 which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.   

Work Authorization: Visa will not sponsor applicants for work visas in connection with this position. Future sponsorship will not be considered. 

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department  

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time. 

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
