VCA Managed Services (VMS) is a critical component of our VCA strategy, providing our clients with the execution muscle they require to enhance performance and increase profitability. VMS brings the ‘best of Visa’ to the clients, playing the role of orchestration layer between client teams and Visa subject matter experts (SMEs).  As clients confront increased challenges in their operating environment whilst also facing capacity constraints and capability gaps, VMS helps to drive implementation or delivery of their strategic initiatives, facilitating significant and tangible value creation.

Position Summary

We are looking for an individual to join us as a Manager of Managed Services for India and South Asia, and be a part of our consulting arm, Visa Consulting and Analytics. Based in Mumbai, this role will be responsible for leading project delivery to drive the implementation of recommendations related to product development, partnerships and alliances, data and digital engagement, and technology action and insights. The individual will work towards the execution of product setup and development for launch, card value proposition enhancements, and leveraging data insights to impact portfolio performance using Visa resources.

The individual should have expertise in designing, implementing, and program-managing deliverables related to product performance. They are also expected to support in the sales process by collaborating with internal teams based on client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Support and play a key role in the growth of the India South Asia (INSA) VMS practice to help our clients achieve the following:

  • Execute product initiatives, strengthen value propositions, and develop digital journeys on behalf of clients.

  • Support the launch of new products and services, including build, setup, technical aspects, and go-to-market strategy.

  • Run the program management office to deliver large-scale technological projects related to the payments business.

  • Support the implementation of VCA project recommendations across strategy, product, portfolio, business analytics, risk, and digital advisory.

Define project scope, understand client objectives, and frame problems or opportunities. Facilitate and support in creating client proposals and project plans, outlining dependencies, roles, responsibilities, scope, and deliverables. Be responsible and accountable for the project plan and work closely with stakeholders to achieve project revenue while keeping costs within the approved budget. Manage and oversee project delivery for all relevant VMS engagements within INSA. Enable project delivery by managing teams within complex project structures, with support from internal team members and external vendors. Partner with peers in other functional areas (e.g., Product, Marketing, Risk, Innovation) to execute projects leveraging Visa’s extensive resources.

Standardize end-to-end delivery processes to create a consistent approach and optimize overheads.

 

 

Qualifications

With a minimum of 6-8 years of experience, you will have accumulated a variety of skills and knowledge. You will combine a strong understanding of the banking, card, or payments industry with robust consulting and implementation expertise. You should be client-driven, comfortable managing projects end-to-end, and eager to develop new solutions and capabilities to meet our clients' needs.
• Experience in project and program management within financial services, preferably in banking, fintech, or consulting.
• Expertise in project P&L management, tracking, and acting on key business KPIs such as revenue, margin, and expenses.
• Relevant depth of experience in the cards and payments business, product development and management, digital engagement, and delivery.
• Experience handling senior client stakeholders in retail and business banking, cards, and payments, and in functions like technology, operations, and risk.
• An entrepreneurial mindset to identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor.
• Strong team leadership skills with a collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible style. Able to work effectively in a matrixed organization.
• Detail-oriented, ensuring the highest level of quality and rigor in reports and data analysis.
• Excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and written capabilities.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented individual with the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
• Strong commercial acumen, with experience in developing business, value cases that demonstrate ROI.
