Job Description

This role is a member of a team that is responsible for managing a large financial institution spanning multiple regions, markets and business lines. The team works closely with both internal and external stakeholders to grow the revenue and share of our business with this strategic global partnership. The focus areas for this role will be commercial flows, government payment flows, money movement solutions and small and medium enterprises. The team is part of a wider team that manages some of the largest and most complex financial institutional relationships at Visa.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead, manage and oversee key business lines with the partner across multiple markets to ensure that Visa is the payment provider of choice
  • Drive superior engagement with clients while also overseeing the day-to-day aspects across the entire region. 
  • Utilize a consultative sales approach that ensures Visa is familiar with the strategies and issues of the client and tailor Visa's engagement to address those needs
  • Identify and present business opportunities within the payment’s ecosystem, identifying new prospects while advancing our shared business objectives
  • Facilitate the development of account plans and drive in-market engagements in collaboration with key stakeholders to deliver on these plans 
  • Propose and prioritize initiatives based on client profitability, aligning with their objectives and maximizing the performance of their Visa Portfolio.
  • Be astute with financial forecasting, and attuned to various dynamics that affect client and Visa business performance
  • Manage contract milestones in within region as related to against globally negotiated contract terms, conditions and commitments

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:
• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in business development within the payments or transaction banking sector, demonstrating a proven track record in strategy planning, management and successful closure of complex and competitive sales initiatives, with an emphasis on results-oriented execution.
• Proficient in multiple languages, namely English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
• Comprehensive knowledge of transaction banking, cash management, and payment industry products, services, and technologies, with an added advantage for familiarity with eCommerce and mobile technology.
• Knowledge of Visa products and services, spanning core products and emerging digital solutions advantageous
• Demonstrated ability to manage and interpret financial indicators necessary for business performance evaluation, including P&L responsibility and accurate forecasting of major cost and revenue sources, as well as risk assessment.
• Proven skills in negotiating business agreements, enhancing existing relationships, and developing new strategic partnerships at senior levels.
• Previous experience as a trusted advisor, showcasing the ability to develop significant long-term relationships based on trust with senior executives at large, complex organizations.
• Proven ability to establish credibility, influence, and negotiate at the highest levels within both international and local organizations.
• An innovative and agile mindset with the ability to adapt to market needs and a dynamic environment.
• An independent initiator, possessing a strong team spirit and a collaborative working style.
