The Global Advisory Finance team uses a strategic finance advisory model with key stakeholders across Global and Regional Advisory teams, while applying data to business and finance decisions, as well as performance measurement. Position Summary

Visa is looking for a strategic finance leader to join our Global Advisory Finance team. You will serve as a strategic finance partner to the leaders of Visa’s Advisory Services business and work closely with other Global and Regional Advisory finance teams. You will collaborate with senior leadership to develop financial strategies and analytics to enable business decision making, and lead the long-term planning, forecasting, budgeting, financial analytics for the business.  This role also supports strategic decision making on investments and portfolio level tradeoffs through effective financial analytics. The position involves deriving important insights and effectively communicating with senior finance leaders and executive management.  The ideal candidate will have a deep expertise in strategic finance, financial business analysis, preferably with a public company, and demonstrated experience collaborating with various functions.

This role requires interpersonal skills to cultivate partnerships across functions, regions, and teams, to drive thought leadership, interrogate business growth assumptions and successfully enact all planning, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting processes. This role presents results and provides insights and analysis to senior business partners and executives.

Essential Functions

Strategic Advice and Business Partnership:

  • Partner closely with cross-regional and cross-functional Finance leads to understand revenue drivers and elevate the level of analysis around revenue and related costs
  • Partner closely with Global Advisory leads in developing multi-year strategic roadmap
  • Establish and grow strong relationships with a broad base of business stakeholders as a valued business partner
  • Align functional goals and strategies to broader global initiatives
  • Develop and present strategic insights about the Advisory Services business

Financial Management:

  • Lead key financial activities for the Advisory Services business, including multi-year strategic planning, annual financial planning, quarterly outlook and business reviews, month-end analytics and management reporting, and on-going financial risks and opportunities assessment
  • Provide meaningful driver-based analytics and insights to senior leadership and executive management audience on the Advisory Services’ business’ financial performance and forward-looking outlook
  • Understand business levers and recommend measures to further improve financial results and business margins, while assessing financial risks and opportunities, and evaluating options to optimize return on investments
  • Establish efficient processes and expand the reporting and analytics capabilities across broader Advisory

Project Management:

  • Spearhead ad-hoc projects to further improve the overall performance of the team and organization(s)
  • Decision support to senior finance leadership on investment / project decisions as well as strategic organizational and functional developments
  • Provide thought leadership and guidance over core processes building efficiencies and streamlining deliverables

Business Engagement:

  • Integration of finance into the business, and develop business acumen depth
  • Tailored, effective presentations, analysis and dialogue with each business partner
  • Dialogue around budget and spend to optimize budget and investments, return-on-investment discipline
  • Robust toolkit to help manage the business and enable management decision making

People Management:

  • Mentor and coach team members by instilling best practices across finance
  • Cultivate strong relationships and communicate effectively with cross-functional and multi-geographical stakeholders
  • Influence, motivate and collaborate with key business partners and stakeholders

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:
• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
• Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (or similar)
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering, or relevant technical field
• MBA strongly preferred
• Prior experience in the Payment industry a plus
• Investment banking and/or management consulting experience
• At least 10 years of professional experience or equivalent with 5-7 years of relevant experience in a well-disciplined organization where best practices are integral to the management of the business
• Proactive, strategic thinker
• Strong analytical and project management skills
• Commercial focus and ability to structure complex financial analytics
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to communicate effectively with executive management
• Detail oriented to ensure accuracy and quality of output
• Excellent interpersonal and people management skills
• Ability to work effectively with other functional areas and understand the operational and cultural issues relevant to achieving superior results
• Client focused with tenacity to resolve issues and conflicts
• High energy and enthusiasm required to partner with multiple stakeholders
• Able to work in a matrix environment

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 146,900.00 to 213,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
