Job Description

The Director of Strategic Analytics will be responsible for partnering with senior Product Leaders to conduct performance monitoring and data-driven, consulting projects. This person will work closely with the Head of Issuing Solutions to evaluate new business opportunities, GTM strategies, and investment decisions. This individual will also be responsible for partnering with cross-functional team members (e.g., Data, Product, Sales, Technology, Client Services, Finance) to conduct ad-hoc analyses, develop scalable business routines, create data governance strategies, and drive cross-functional alignment.

This is a critical position reporting to the Head of Issuing Solutions Strategy. This role requires strong data skills, structured problem solving, and excellent communication. This individual will be expected to lead large cross-functional engagements, handle multiple projects at the same time, manage and mentor junior employees, and present to senior audiences.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • Strong structured problem solving & communication skills.
  • You have excellent project management skills and experience with influencing without authority in a large cross-functional team environment.
  • You are a self-starter who is comfortable in ambiguous environments.
  • Collaborative spirit and a knack for understanding and communicating stakeholder needs.
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on articulating business minutiae and nuances in simple easy-to-understand ways.
  • Previous people management experience.
  • You have prior experience in creating automated reporting & dashboards (e.g.: via Tableau).
  • Previous experience in financial services and/or payments preferred.
  • Excellent analytical (qualitative and quantitative) acumen. Must have a technical background in pulling data, developing models, and conducting analyses. Must be able to code in Excel VBA and SQL. Experience in Python, R, and other languages preferred.
  • You are experienced in presenting information to all levels, including senior executives

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
