Team Summary
At the heart of Visa’s strategy is looking for new avenues of driving growth at a pace that ensures market leadership and achievement of our business objectives. We have amended our organizational design to align with the key pillars of our strategy more closely by setting up the Commercial and Money Movement Solutions (CMS) team. This team is responsible for managing payment flows/solutions across four segments: small business & large middle market (Visa Commercial Solutions - VCS), government/public sector undertakings (Visa Government Solutions - VGS) and Money Movement Solutions(MMS) which contains (Visa Direct – VD and B2B Connect) and treasury & FX (Visa Cross-Border Solutions).

The MMS at Visa is where innovation meets global money movement. Comprising of three cutting-edge products – Visa Direct, Visa Cross-Border Solutions and B2B Connect – MMS redefines the landscape of global financial transactions. These products and services are typically aimed at financial institutions, financial technology providers (FinTechs), remitters and foreign exchange businesses, across a multitude of movement movement flows such as B2B trade payments, P2P remittance transfers and C2B spend on multi-currency accounts. MMS spans across different dimensions of money movement including cross-border transactions, disbursements, money transfers, and more.
This is a global team, with regional presence and consists of self-motivated and highly driven individuals who excel with partners and work collaboratively with other Visa colleagues such as Products teams for product design/solutioning on CMS and local country leadership & sales teams to help their client teams capture the commercial and money movements opportunities in the most effective manner for their markets. The team also partners with other corporate functions within Visa to benefit from the full suite of expertise that the business requires, such as Marketing, Legal, Finance, Technology, Risk, People, Operations, Client Services and Communications.
What a Cluster Head of MMS does at Visa:
Visa is looking for an experienced and passionate business leader to lead our MMS team in our Greater China cluster. The ideal candidate will be required to develop and drive the strategy, develop and execute on a market sales plan and leading the in market MMS sales team to archive the short-term revenue target as well as long term strategic goal. Most specifically, as the leader for the business in the cluster, the individual will:
- Be responsible for developing and deploying the multi-year strategy to ensure growth and synergies across all MMS portfolios in Greater China.
- Be responsible for financial target and key metrics i.e. market share target across all MMS business portfolios
- Manage a team that will deliver on business plans, target and drive new revenues, identify client needs and ensure deployment of MMS solutions in a cohesive manner
- Lead seamless client engagements along with the sales team to drive MMS growth with clients
- Identify and scale partnerships to capture new flows, deploy new business models and solutions in market
- Deliver market relevant solutions for Large Corporates, Small Businesses, Middle Market Enterprise, Fintech and Governments
- Work closely with the local leadership team, regional and global teams to deliver the plan for MMS Greater China
- Set joint objectives and support performance targets for the function based on a strategic plan built with the Asia Pacific MMS leadership team as well as the Greater China CMS leadership team.
- Be an advocate for the business, collaborate across market and regional teams to ensure plan delivery and business growth

Commercial and Money movement Solutions (CMS) is a key element of Visa’s vision to penetrate payment flows beyond consumer card flows and, with a mostly untapped opportunity, it has a tremendous growth potential. MMS as part of the CMS flow will drive a significant portion of the growth.
This business rests on growing the penetration in the business and money movement segments, drawing in potential clients into the network, helping issuers address critical market demands of payments across small, medium and large organizations, while digitizing new payment flows for domestic and cross-border use cases. We not only support card-based payments, but, as a payment service provider, are moving towards serving the needs for non-card based payments as well, and providing other value added service. You will:
- Sit within Greater China CMS leadership team.
- Lead a key business pillar of growth for Visa
- Grow payments ecosystem that offers both card based and non-card based solutions
- Partner with cross functional teams across regional and global MMS, Products, Merchant Sales & Acquiring, Client Services, and all supporting functions to drive Greater China MMS initiatives
- Formulate Greater China MMS strategies for both short term and long term with the alignment with CMS leadership on market specific strategic priorities & execute them with a full ownership and accountability
- Identify and develop new business cases, partnership models, capabilities to capture new flows across all segments under MMS
- Leverage appropriate Visa MMS assets and product management resources to deliver exceptional value to all stakeholders in payment ecosystem
- Actively contribute to achieve Korea Mongolia key Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)
- Serve as a key spokesperson and voice for MMS Greater China
Qualifications
• 12+ years of experience in top tier financial institutions, payments network or financial services industry
• Strong experience in the Transaction Banking and/or Cash Management, global money movements, remittance business.
• Good understanding of fintech landscapes and developments in Greater China.
• Good understanding of Greater China RTP/RTGS systems includes CHATS or CIPS.
• Excellent business acumen on P/L management, finance, capital markets, economics over multi-stakeholder deals
• Ability to formulate market specific action plan, and drive for executing the strategies against the timeline
• Deep understanding of B2B payment trends, regulatory environment, current market landscape and gaps
• Willingness to take on new challenges in a fast-paced environment
• Successful track record of stakeholder management and ability to communicate and influence at all levels of an organization
• Strong experience working directly with and influencing clients
• Ability to work effectively with cross functional and cross regional teams
• Outstanding people leader with a track record of building high performing teams through coaching, a commitment to developing talent and building a strong succession pipeline.
• Good knowledge of product management and development, data driven insights and finance
• Preferably a Masters of Business degree
• Proficient English communication skills is a must. Mandarin and Cantonese Speaking would be a plus.
