Job Description
The Director of Global Corporate Communications will lead efforts to assess, quantify and track key communication metrics to help inform and advance the company’s reputation around the globe. This position will support the measurement and reporting for key functions vital to Visa’s reputation, including press coverage, social media and reputational metrics. The ideal candidate is data-driven and steeped in analyzing and deciphering quantitative and qualitative data related to PR and reputation measurement. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
In partnership with the VP of Global Corporate Communications, establish a center of excellence for measurement, real-time monitoring and reporting for the broader Global Communications organization.
Define measurement goals and KPIs. Optimize presentation of data to the broader Communications organization and Leadership Team.
Analyze data to assess the impact, effectiveness, reach, and overall performance of PR campaigns and activities.
Leverage measurement and analytics to identify public relations strategies that will be most effective in reaching target audiences and achieving desired results.
Manage vendor relationships that support the broader organization’s measurement, monitoring and reporting workstreams.
Drive efficiencies and alignment around PR and reputation measurement across global teams in North America, CEMEA, Asia Pacific, Europe and Latin America.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners (e.g., Marketing, Government Engagement, Sales, etc.) to demonstrate opportunity and impact around key communications activities.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
- 10 years PR/communications experience
- Experienced in the measurement and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data
- Financial payments industry experience / knowledge preferable
- Inquisitive with strong independent, can-do attitude
- Technology experience / knowledge
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention for detail
- Confident & assertive (with senior executives)
- Self-driven and focused on delivering excellence
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 137,300 to 234,200 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
