Job Description

The Group Account Director is accountable to pro-actively and commercially manage and grow the business of assigned clients, by actively selling, promoting, and securing usage of all of companies’ applicable products and services. This role requires a highly intercultural and senior project management expertise.

In this role, proactive and inspiring leadership is expected to understand client’s needs and pain points and makes strong connection to what Visa can offer.

Most important, you align beyond borders with the local teams across markets to ensure best practice sharing, exchange on projects and ensuring to capture all market insights were needed. You will be acting as a “connector” and build a cross-border team to better understand the client needs and pain points from a holistic perspective and provide strategic advice to our clients.

What we expect of you, day to day.

  • Own the strategic account plans and quarterly business reviews with the client
  • Provide best-in class expertise, know-how and best-practices to your clients to make sure Visa is seen as a strategic partner
  • Collaborate and engage with colleagues across Visa, endeavouring to break down silos and ensure the business is appropriately involved and informed about any issues, delivering solutions as one team
  • Identify, in close partnership with the clients, new value propositions and opportunities to thrive the business together
  • Work with clients to identify new and ongoing requirements and actively and commercially stimulating them to innovate, introducing new products and services as appropriate
  • Manage the product portfolio and services for your account, ensuring clients are provided appropriate support from Visa
  • Work closely with the assigned client, regularly liaising with multiple key stakeholders and ensuring an ongoing quality relationship is maintained
  • Demonstrate expertise of all Visa products and services, with expert knowledge in certain areas
  • Prepare briefings for senior management who engage with the client and prepare working groups to determine the value in kind projects in line with the client strategy
  • Building and maintaining a strong network across markets and functions, connecting the dots
  • Demonstrating subject matter expertise on technology/innovation trends both internally and externally, to guide global strategy and initiatives.
  • Effectively communicates and liaises findings with internal and external clients at various levels of seniority and function incl. C-Level

 

Qualifications

What we’re after…

  • Extensive Sales, account or customer management experience
  • Passion and curiosity for Digital, Innovation/Fintech, and in particular payments
  • Passion for realizing opportunities and resolving issues in the payments industry
  • Commercial understanding, the ability to identify opportunities and propose solutions
  • Broad knowledge about Visa and its products and services
  • Proven influencing, selling and negotiation skills
  • Global perspective and awareness of market differences and commonalities
  • Experienced in working in project teams whereby managing the overall objective is key
  • Ability to work in an international environment with key stakeholders in all regions
  • An excellent team player and “connector” by nature with pronounced Hands-On mentality
  • Willingness to support the broader teams' objectives in parallel to driving client-specific strategies
  • History of growing emerging businesses through strategy, innovation, development, and commercialization of new products and services
  • Results-oriented individual who challenges the status quo to drive a culture of constant improvement
  • Knowledge of the payments business and/or financial services (Retail Banking will be a plus) incl. innovation driving the digital banking and retail industries
  • Strong Problem-Solving & Story lining Skills
  • Ability to collaborate closely with multiple internal and external clients at various levels within the business
  • Fluent in written and spoken Hungarian and English
