Job Description
The Senior Manager will support the Europe Corporate and External Communications team across a wide range of corporate communications activity including media relations and PR announcements to support business growth and demonstrate the value that Visa brings to European economies, people and businesses. Partner with our in-market communications teams across Europe, and global colleagues, on communications initiatives.
Lead on PR announcements, creating integrated, multi-channel, multi-audience communications plans, including drafting messaging, press releases, digital and social content, and other assets.
Develop B2B communications for Visa’s products and services.
Partner with Visa’s clients and partners on proactive, multi-channel communications.
Build media relationships and seek opportunities for media coverage of Visa.
Prepare briefing documents for senior executive media and event engagements.
Support on day-to-day press office and issues management.
Promote the value of communications through strong reporting and measurement of activity.
Help ensure that all policies and processes are robustly managed and evidenced.
Qualifications
As our ideal candidate, you will have:
Significant public relations/corporate communications experience in an in-house or agency environment.
Experience of working in a matrixed, multi-national corporate environment.
Demonstrable experience of interacting, and building trust, with all levels of stakeholders, including senior level leaders, and internal and external partners, as a collaborative team player.
Experience of engaging with media to secure proactive opportunities and manage incoming enquiries.
Experience of using digital channels and social media strategies for PR purposes.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to quickly transition from strategy to implementation, working on both simultaneously as needed.
Exceptional language skills in English to develop content to drive communications initiatives, other European languages an advantage.
Ability to write clearly and concisely, incorporating a corporate narrative and storytelling into your work.
Strong verbal and visual/digital presentation skills.
Ability to grasp complex topics quickly as an agile, confident thinker.
Curiosity to develop deep knowledge and understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing Visa and our industry.
Insight into the latest industry trends and communications best practices, channels, tools and techniques.
Ability to manage communications projects and processes, ensuring high levels of organisational and operational excellence.
Capability of achieving results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, often on short deadlines, as a proven self-starter with a proactive, positive mindset.
Understanding of how to budget for communications initiatives.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
