General Summary:
The Corporate Communications Senior Executive will support the development and execution activities that drive Warner Bros. Discovery's corporate brand, reputation, and personality in the South Korean market.
Working across corporate, internal communications and publicity for the business, the successful candidate will help to ensure our story is clear with our key stakeholders. We are looking for a highly organized, proactive team player who can develop strong relationships across the business. This role reports to the Director, Corporate Communications, China & South Korea, and will work closely with several functions locally including Content Licensing, Consumer Products, Networks, Games, Marketing, People & Culture, as well as the broader APAC Communications team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development and execution of overarching and project specific communications plan across WBD's business in South Korea.
- Work closely with South Korean leadership and teams to ensure cohesive internal messages for key business and employee engagement initiatives in South Korea, including across internal tools [e.g. Workplace] and events [i.e. Town Halls].
- Support the Director, Corporate Communications, China & South Korea on developing publicity strategies and be responsible for the execution on title, linear channel and publicity including title launch / sustaining strategies, physical activations, junkets, interviews, talent management, global liaison.
- Keep close attention to external media coverage generated both from proactive and reactive external communication at local, regional, and global levels, creating reports for the leadership team, with context.
- Help to manage and maintain WBD corporate and relevant business functions correspondence channels.
- Assist in providing counsel, in consultation with the Director, Corporate Communications, China & South Korea for internal and external crisis situations when required.
- Develop clear KPIs and measures of success and keep track of deliverables for all communications initiatives.
- Partner effectively with all internal functions, including those listed in the job description above.
Requirements:
- Minimum four years' experience in corporate communications or publicity - internal communications experience a plus.
- Good understanding of the South Korean media landscape.
- Independent thinker with a strategic mindset who can execute projects to the highest standard.
- Professional, organised, and adaptable, with a high degree of professionalism.
- Comfortable with a diverse workload and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: a team player able to work with colleagues across multiple locations and time zones.
- Ability to travel internationally, if required.
- Ability to assess priorities and always maintain composure and diplomacy.
- Excellent written and communication skills in English.
- Passionate about entertainment.
