Required Responsibilities

Required• Act as a safety partner by intervening when unsafe acts are practiced. always Promote/demonstrate safe behavior and practices. Assist Site and QSE management in determining RCAs and corrective actions for investigations.

• Complete all safety training assigned. Act as a resource for junior technicians when questions arise.

• Utilize all PPE as required by Work Instructions and QSE Manual. Provide input regarding any discrepancies found in Work Instructions or PPE sheets.

• Support continuous improvement activities to include development of best practices

• Build and maintain effective internal partnerships. May refer complex issues or customer inquiries to higher level technical staff or manager (always demonstrate good customer focus, improving their satisfaction and loyalty

• Fully navigate and input all required data through MyTime and MyTask and the different cost allocations (i.e., SO's)

• Ability to access and use online tools (i.e., Toolkit, SAP, VOB, VGA, VIS, VTM, etc.)

• Have understanding and awareness of how dashboard impacts the site (i.e., alarms, warnings, fleet, service orders, labor efficiency, new site start up, TNT, FIFT, other Insight dashboard metrics)

• Insite Toolbox (ability to navigate and use)

• Basic troubleshooting and mentorship

• Ability to follow Work Instructions and propose adjustments or improvements as needed (i.e., PTP)

• TSL and CIR entry and follow up

• Ability to support specialty jobs (i.e., crane work, CIM projects, etc.)

• Assume responsibility to take advantage of tools available to grow and learn as an employee with team support

• Promote and develop a good team environment, not only within technical staff, but across partner departments. Assist teammates in accomplishing operational objectives/goals, as well as mentoring lower-level technical staff.

Qualifications Required

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Minimum two (2) years technical wind industry experience OR in the absence of technical wind industry experience, minimum three (2) years of experience working with hydraulic, electrical, mechanical skills and composite skills OR 2 years technical wind industry experience and a certificate of completion from a Wind Technician program.

• Internal candidate training/certificate requirements: LOTO II, D-Service, TBC Core 100 & 200, and Turbine specific 100 & 200

• External candidates must complete required training within 6 months.

• Ability to demonstrate intermediate working knowledge of industrial safety practices and protocols (i.e. Confined Space, Lock Out Tag Out)

• Demonstrated use and understanding of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems as well as tooling associated with the job scope as well as the ability to train others to those specific tasks (i.e. fluke meter functions, hydraulic pressure gauge, etc.)

• Valid driver's license required

• Ability to obtain a passport preferred

• Requires travel and may require working a flexible and variable work schedule as needed to meet business requirements

• Ability to read, interpret & understand basic drawings & schematics to validate work activity and ensure that risks are being mitigated

Competencies Required

• Ability to constantly climb stairs and ladders 60-125 meters {200-400 feet} in height, to access work area

• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 50 lbs. in weight

• Ability to frequently walk, stand, look up/down, balance, stoop, twist, kneel, and bend

• Ability to constantly grip and manually manipulate, often with repetitive motion, items such as, but not limited to, hand tools and turbine parts

• Able to work in demanding physical and inclement weather conditions

• Comfort working remotely in a Turbine as part of a team with limited supervisory interaction

• Your total weight, while wearing all required PPE and gear, should be at or less than the 300.0 lbs. weight limit

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and other software programs

• Regular & reliable attendance

• Valid Driver's License
