Director of Quality/Risk Management at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Trophy Club:

· The Quality Director is responsible for Quality functions in support of the hospital mission, vision, and facility goals.

· This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors.

· The Director identifies opportunities through monitoring of various safety, infection control and quality indicators, customer satisfaction data, and employee and physician input.

· The Quality Director works with Senior Management in meeting Facility goals.

· The Director has the responsibility and authority of planning, organizing, controlling, coordinating and evaluating the activities and functions of the Quality Management Department. He/she directs and coordinates all department activities to assure on-going hospital-wide Performance Improvement program.

· This position assists in development and coordination of hospital/departmental policies.

· Coordinates data management for facility-wide Infection Control and Employee Health Services and may consult with administrative personnel on Risk Management issues.

Qualifications

Education:

· Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.

Licensure/Certification:

· Current Texas RN License

· BLS and ACLS required and PALS

Required Experience:

· Three to five years’ experience and certification in Quality Management.

· Relevant clinical experience and previous management experience preferred.

· Knowledge of hospital organizations, committees, department functions, and Performance Improvement concepts.

· Demonstrates competent administrative, communication and leadership skills.

· Knowledge of JCAHO, Medicare, and TDH standards.

· Computer knowledge. Word Perfect, Word, and Excel preferred.

· Documented training in, and current knowledge of, Infection Control concepts.

· Possess the ability to make independent decisions, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
